Could they have picked a worse t-shirt design? That’s not going to motivate anyone to go out.

Chicken or the egg theory. Fans understandingly say “win and we will show up.” The program says to the fans “show up and be a part of the reason we win.”
Tomorrow is the best matchup until SEC play starts. I understand if some adults can’t make it on a weeknight. But having been a student once before there was rarely anything that important on a Tuesday night at 8:00 pm that I couldn’t attend a big basketball game…for FREE.
Hell, most of the time it was a good reason to “pre-game” at a bar/apartment, attend the game, then go right back out after

I can't make it. Unfortunately, it's basketball season for the kids' school teams and between dance, cheer, and basketball, I'm gonna be very busy for the next few weeks. Have 2 games tomorrow night. Would have loved to go though.

The team got some new pullovers.

But...but...what uniform are we wearing for this game?
I would like to see that retro '70s style with the stars and the Louisiana State in gold script.

I’ll be there but not a student. Resale are ridiculously cheap

How much are you paying for it?

Love to go but 4am comes early. I’ll be watching. This team regardless of if they win is fun to watch. They don’t quit. Hang in even if they are down. They fight for 40 minutes.

It will be a challenging game. FSU's starting lineup is
6'5"
6'7"
6'7"
6'10"
6'11"
They only have one player under 6'5" (at 6'1") who they bring off the bench for a little more than half the game. Beyond that they have a couple of 7 footers and other size they can come off the bench with.

It's a typical Leonard Hamilton FSU team. They are very big, very athletic, defend really well, but can't shoot a lick from more than 2 feet from the rim. On the occasional nights they shoot it well from outside they can blow anyone out. If the opponent has a good outside shooting night FSU's offense struggles to keep pace.
LSU MUST do three things:
1. Limit the turnovers. This could be a top the list for every LSU game. Turnovers were the single biggest problem under McMahon in the last two seasons. They are again this year as LSU is one of the worst in the nation in that category. In a game where it is already going to be tough to score, constantly giving the ball away to FSU will be a good way to get run out of your own gym.
2. Compete on the defensive glass. LSU's first shot defense has been good this year. However, they give up WAY too many offensive rebounds. The one game LSU really controlled the glass was vs. Kansas St. Not coincidentally, it was their most impressive win of the year. LSU is going to be at a size disadvantage tonight. Odds are they won't win the rebounding stat...but they at least have to keep it close.
3. Three point shooting. It's going to be tough for LSU's smaller guards to get inside, so they have to take advantage of outside shots. McMahon is convinced this is a good three point shooting team. The numbers say the complete opposite. I guess the one reason for optimism is LSU shot the 3 really well in the second half vs. NSU. That allowed them to turn a terrible first half into a blowout. Hopefully that continues. On defense force FSU to take 3's. That's not their game and not what they want to do offensively. Plus, this is their first true road game. If FSU is hot from 3 you almost have to just tip your cap and take the L. But allowing them to drive at will to the goal (what they want to do) isn't LSU's path to victory.

FSU is very good defensively but can struggle to score. If LSU plays consistently tonight, then they should win, but if they get behind, it will be hard to make a run against the FSU defense. So, LSU can't be a 1st half no-show like they have at some home games so far this season, lol

Haven't watched FSU but looking at the Kenpom
Its going to be a brick fest out there lol, both teams defend the 3 well while neither shoots it well.
The other two that stick out is turnovers and rebounds. They have been one of the best teams at forcing turnovers meanwhile LSU has been bad about turning it over, I am sure the game plan is to not turn it over but for the love of God do not make those weak passes where they get a run out,. FSU should struggle to score .. we can not be handing them 15 points off of turnovers.
As mentioned we have been terrible at defensive rebounding, which is causing us to play way more in the half court on offense. So far this season I don't think LSU is very good in the half court on offense, how can we prevent that? Getting the defensive rebound and taking off and trying to steal a couple of buckets. But it all starts with actually finishing the possession and getting the rebound.

Maybe since the game doesn't start until 8:00 the team will already think it's the second half when they get out on the court
