Cool story about PJ Woodland

A good friend of mine went to the game this weekend and stayed at a hotel in Port Allen.
Sunday morning, while packing his Yukon, the guy packing his car next to him asked how they like their vehicle. He tells them they like it but wishes the gas mileage was better. The guy says “Yea, we just need something a little bigger. Our son plays at LSU so we come down here a lot”
My friends asks “who’s your son?” Guy replies “PJ Woodland”
My friend responds with “No way!! That’s awesome! He’s a great player”
He says that his dad looked at his kids and said “hang on a minute”
He calls PJ and asked what he’s doing, and said he needs to come to their hotel and that they’re kids there that would like to meet him.
So 10-20 minutes later PJ shows up to the hotel.
He brought a jersey and signed it for his kids, and threw a football around the parking lot with them for a minute. My friends son asks “dad what shoes is he wearing? They’re cool.” (They were uggs… I know)
PJ says “what’s your cash app? I’ll send you money to buy them some.”
My friend replies “Man you really don’t have to do that”
PJ says “Nah man I love to do stuff like this. I have a little brother and love doing stuff for kids.”
So he sends my friend money on cash app and then told him “Anytime your kids wants some LSU stuff let me know and I got you.”
And gave my friend his number.
The story is real and he showed me pictures to prove it. Won’t post here because his kids faces are in it. I just thought it was awesome of him to do that for complete strangers.
He sounds like a great kid and will probably turn out to be an LSU great. He said his parents are super great people too. Just a nice heartwarming story about one of our tigers.

You outta email that to Scott Woodward. They need to share those success stories across the athletic department and athletes.

Clearly raised well.
PJ has a lot of talent as well, and could be a very good player for us. Really pulling for him.

Thank you for sharing this! Pj is my son and he really made that kids day! They were a really nice family out of West Monroe and invited us to tailgate with them next season. We are really excited about the future here at LSU and appreciate all the hospitality that’s been shown thus far! We’re from Mississippi but there’s nothing like good old Louisiana love that’s been shown to PJ!! GEAUX TIGERS !!!!
