PBS NOW - Rick Steeves talking about FASCISM not so subtle ties to Trump

Had the TV on in the background, Rick Steeves doing a travel thing on Germany, visiting the history of the Third Reich. Picking up bits and pieces, I started wondering if this was recent - he seemed to be making veiled parallels to today and the claims of Trump and 'fascism'. Or my imagination?
Well, they have Rick there live, and it was not subtle at all - he's talking about how we need to learn from the past, and watch out for these things in the present, and on and on. he just said things things happen bit by bit, then one day, you go to bed under democracy, and wake up under a dictator. Argghhhh!!!!
Geez, after 4 years in office, these people really think that Trump is the threat to Democracy? Fools.

If you ignore all the rights and privileges the left will take from White Christian Americans then they are still wrong about Trump. He has been president already and none of the false concerns were close to becoming reality.

Trump is 78 yrs old now, has already been President, and was just elected to his and (and last) term.
The level of hysteria with the Left is utterly nonsensical.

This is one reason why such a large and centralized government is so dangerous. There are people in this country that want to live in a police/govt sanctioned state. They could pick a state with those values and go there. Leave me alone.

That is Fascism. Designated Corporate winners, Government control of Media, Government control of banking and finance, centralized planing with private ownership. People keep using the word Fascist and Fascism and don't even know what it is.

He’s mad because Trump (and Elon) about to defund NPR, and tax payer funding for their propaganda machine desquised as education and the arts. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good travel show but willing to pay for it myself through subscriptions etc
