Another idiotic move by Trump who is letting his ego dominate his decision making, yet again. Kellogg was a former advisor to VP Pence. From what I've found, Kellogg's view is that Russia has to be defeated in Ukraine and he (and the institute he works for) are the creators of Trump's plan for Ukraine - act like a bully and tell Ukraine to talk "Or else" and tell Russia to talk, "Or else", part of this being the threat to give Ukraine "everything" if Russia won't negotiate.

The US is in no position to make these demands. Escalating support for Ukraine is 100% in opposition to what Trump campaigned on and he would crater support if he did so. If Trump did give Ukraine everything, this war will escalate and Trump will paint himself into a corner and US forces would eventually be committed.

In this video you can see Rick Scott (another idiotic endorsement by Trump) question Kellogg about Ukraine. They say Russia is a strategic adversary - it is not. Disastrous US policy has forced Russia into an adversarial position. Kellogg does rightly point out that China is of more importance.

Kellogg has repeatedly said that if we just give the Ukrainians the kit, they can win this war. This moron also talked about the Ukrainians being able to fight in a combined arms manner, which has never been the case, no matter the equipment that was given to them. They've never had this capability. They were never going to win this war. Never.

Scott asks Kellogg if there is a settlement possible with Russia for Ukraine - Kellogg says that the only thing Putin understands is power and force and that you have to put your boot on his neck and that if you defeat the Russian Army then Putin falls. He says you must defeat Russia in Ukraine and even comes close to trotting out the old line about fighting them over there rather than over here. At no point does he make a case that this benefits our national interests, other than the baseless claim that Russia is a strategic adversary. Even if that's true, Ukraine is not vital to our interests.

Hmmmmm. So in trying to defeat the deep state every appointment should be well known to hate the deep state and desire its end.

You write war manuals don't you?

Biden practiced "peace through weakness," but that's not in Trump's nature.

I think Trump will offer a carrot or a stick kind of deal.

Trump said one of his best appointments his first term was John Bolton because whenever he walked into a room, people thought he would bomb the hell out of them so they took peace discussions seriously.

You sound like the Russian Foreign Minister.

Are there any posters who will make a stand on principles to defeat tyranny wherever it shows its head?

How did US policy force Russia into invading a sovereign nation? Ukraine has the right to choose who it allies with.

Trump is going to do what the hell he wants. He needs to get some sort of leverage on Putin. He knows Putin is sitting in the strong position. He’s trying to get the best deal possible but he absolutely wants the war to end.

People just don’t get the rules of 3D chess like Trump. It’s amazing.

There’s 11 trillion reasons not to just fold in Ukraine.

One of the main reasons I support Trump is the hope that he will end the disastrous Neocon foreign policy. Many Americans see through Neocon propaganda and hope Trump will follow through on his promise to end the conflict quickly.

I trust Trump. Of course, it's possible that this appointment is in keeping with the "Bolton is such a rabid warmonger" strategy. We'll know by 6/1/25 the efficacy of this appointment.

Kellogg, and I guess Trump, overestimate our leverage.

yeah, if all this is accurate POTUS, i don’t like this neither.

Trump needs to play the in between and not even remotely appear to be on Ukraines side.

Trump needs to force NATO/EU/UN etc to honor their old agreement going back to 1993-94’ish & DO NOT GO PAST 1” over the Germany border towards Russia.

that is THE AGREEMENT THAT WAS NEVER CANCELED TO MY KNOWLEDGE.

honor the damn agreement. Putin is right in this war. He doesn’t want trannies moving in next door, frick the IN/NATO/DEEP STATE.

they want global chaos so they can follow thru with Agenda 2030 with the Global Reset & then RAM CBDC’s down our throats and then it’s game over for society as we know it!

Trump needs to get Putin to chill & say, “hey, when i get in office, I’ll slap those hyenas off” and let’s make some peace.

but he cannot send weapons and bombs and support in any way, frick that!!!

Russia is a strategic adversary but they didn’t have to be nor should they be. We have more in common with them than we will ever have with China and that should’ve been leveraged. I don’t know if Washington/Jefferson/Franklin are smart enough to unwind the last 30 years of mistakes.

There never was such an agreement. There were discussions by some, but no agreement. There was a formal agreement that Ukraine's autonomy would be guaranteed to which Russia was a signatory along with American and the West. Furthermore NATO never had any intentions of invading Russia, but the same can't be said of Russia with its neighbors.

The only agreement that will be honored by Putin is one where he has a gun to his head.

Maybe Trump has a different opinion than you do. He must have convinced you he was just going to shut the US down over there. That he was going to abandon Ukraine and then NATO. He convinced you of that. But maybe that is not his belief or plan. And he suckered you in to voting for him. I still hope you like him.

Fighting tyranny on the other side of the world for a country who lost half its fighting age men to desertion is not my responsibility.

Why are you not in Ukraine fighting against tyranny?

Why are you not talking about tyranny that occurs every day in Africa and the ME? How about Brazil?

There's a lot of tyranny in the world. How much of our country's wealth and manpower are you willing to destroy in this epic fight you give lipservice to but aren't willing to put your life personally on the line for?

And Russia has a right to protect itself from decades of lies and encroachment by NATO. Your problem is that you're only capable of viewing the conflict from one side.
