Caddo 51. South wind 8-10. On a saddle deep in the woods over a big trail with lots of fresh rubs and sign. We will see.

What’s more comfortable for a long sit- saddle or loc on?

Have my 13 year old daughter. Her first time hunting. Had zero interest but I think a few of her junior high friends hunt.

WBY I think most would say the saddle. I use lock ons. I’m sure I’ll eventually get into a saddle.

Already seen 4 does that ran through spooked by something and a couple small bucks. Looking for a good buck or a doe if she lingers and begs to be shot

Jury is still out for me.
First time I have ever sat in one so still trying to tweak how it fits and where to set the ropes and such.
My plan was to utilize some of my loc on sets with 20ft sticks and just stand on them and hang with the saddle and use my helium sticks to bounce around as a mobile setup instead of my climber.
I think if I had a small platform instead of standing on these sticks and alternating between leaning and kneeling with knee pads I would be more comfortable than a loc on. Only been in it 2hrs so far.
It’s a grit workhorse saddle.

Get you a rzr arsenal platform. Pricey compared to some but lightweight and the best I’ve found thus far. Being comfortable with the platform is a big part of being ok in a saddle for me.

+1 on the RZR. This is my second season using it, it's awesome. Super light and stable. I had a Tetherd Predator XL before and my biggest gripes were weight, packing profile, and it not biting on smaller trees. The RZR fixed all of those grips.

Setup in a new spot before daylight. Had a good buck come through at 40 yards grunting in the thicket around 8, but couldn’t pull him out of it. Hope he passed back. Good luck.

Not a big concern farthest I walk is about a mile at my lease.
How small of a tree you talking?
I just spun my lock around and my comfort level increased 10fold .
Way more comfortable than sitting in a lock on and almost summit climber comfort

I'm stuck at work until 1:30. I'll head home and grind the one I killed last weekend up and then head out in the morning to be there the rest of the week.

I hunted traditional saddles for a while. Never found one I was comfortable in for a long sit. I bought a JX3 several years ago and it is definitely more comfortable than my Loc Ons., I use all preset ladders to get to height and use a Bullman ring of steps. My buddy has the Cruzr saddle and he swears its really comfortable.
