How do we get on all these kids from all over the country? I know Jay has been getting alot of players out west because that's where he specializes but this kid is from Illinois. Do they come to camp here, some sort of showcase or just a database of the best prospects?

LSU is a national brand in college baseball.
High school kids see Skenes and they want to wear p&g and hopefully catch their own livvy dunn.

Can we put Jay and Kim in charge of recruiting for all sports please?

There are numerous showcases with players from all over the country in one place multiple times per year. LSU is a high profile program that has been getting players from all over long before Johnson. If anything there’s more West Coast now than before, but players from the North, Northeast, and Midwest has been going on for at least 15 years.
ETA: A few names you would recognize from outside of the standard southeast, Texas, and California:
DJ Lemahieu (Michigan)
Anthony Ranaudo (New Jersey)
Tyler Hanover (North Carolina)
Kevin Gausman (Colorado)
Alex Bregman (New Mexico)
Jake Fraley (Delaware)
Mike Papierski (Illinois)
Alex Lang (Missouri)

thats a pretty damn strong base to a starting lineup.

I'm not necessarily saying that Paul wasn't lazy in his recruiting, but he was still pulling in top recruiting classes with kids from California, Florida, New York..

We’ve been getting kids nation wide for 15 years. We just do it more often now.

They are definitely very close to each other. A stone's throw.
