Please exempt us from US immigration law.

If a machine can pick cotton surely a machine can be invented to pull a carrot out of the ground or whack off a head of lettuce.

Democrats want to keep their slaves.

They are part of the problem. They need to hire legal workers.

Can we keep a few who may know how to start a halfway decent thread?

US farm groups want Trump to spare their workers from deportation

WASHINGTON, Nov 25 (Reuters) - U.S. farm industry groups want President-elect Donald Trump to spare their sector from his promise of mass deportations, which could upend a food supply chain heavily dependent on immigrants in the United States illegally.
So far Trump officials have not committed to any exemptions, according to interviews with farm and worker groups and Trump's incoming "border czar" Tom Homan.
Nearly half of the nation's approximately 2 million farm workers lack legal status, according to the departments of Labor and Agriculture, as well as many dairy and meatpacking workers.
Trump, a Republican, vowed to deport millions of immigrants in the U.S. illegally as part of his campaign to win back the White House, a logistically challenging undertaking that critics say could split apart families and disrupt U.S. businesses.
Homan has said immigration enforcement will focus on criminals and people with final deportation orders but that no immigrant in the U.S. illegally will be exempt.

To your down voter - Biden is the one who insinuated the slave accusation when he told his audience Trump was going to put them back in chains.

Aren’t the immigrant farm workers here on a work visa already? Trump wants to deport the ones who have a criminal record or have no idea who they are. If they are coming from China and Venezuela or other far countries, they need to be vetted before setting foot on American soil. If farmers are harboring immigrants with a criminal record, tough $hit, they have to go!

What farm group is saying this? They quote a professor.

We want government subsidies AND cheap harvest labor!!!

How about following the law, assholes!!!
It appears these groups just want their slave labor without having to pay American citizens or LEGAL migrants

If those workers are legal, why would the farmers be whining?

Fake. I work in this sector and H2A has allowed American farmers to hire migrant workers easily and legally.
Edit to correct the visa classification

Nope. frick off cocksuckers. If you want workers, pay them a livable wage and don’t give me the bullshite “we can’t afford it” excuse

They have to go back!
I will gladly pay more for my cabbage if you pay a living wage.

Or we can let market correct and start hiring American citizens for decent wages

I'm pretty sure that the ones that are here and working, paying taxes, not using any us tax money to live and otherwise keeping a low profile are probably going to be the last ones out the door.
