The extra incentives on top of what the 12 million dollars is, is insane.

More info coming out about Portnoy picking up the whole ticket. Avoid watching/listening to barstool sports as you are just giving him more incentive to continue this crap.

Okay…done.

I didn’t realize people were regularly listening to this retard in the first place.

So players can't gamble but a booster can give his winnings to a player

This is a really interesting point.

The guy paying his salary is partnered directly with draftkings.

This seems like potential for investigation

So how do they get around pay for play if he has incentives for total yards and national championships?

I have no doubt Portnoy donated towards this, but he for sure didn’t cover the whole package.

I’m sure collectives have some type of incentive packages, but it really is a slippery slope.

I don’t believe all that.

With that said I’m not even mad at Portnoy, I’d do the same thing for LSU and anyone at Michigan could be mad, I wouldn’t give a frick. Props to one of their people for pulling that off. My frustration will remain with the Underwoods for using and playing us.

Not to defend him but Portnoy denied paying the whole sum. Seems bigger fish like billionaire Ellison played a larger role.

Anyway frick both

I sincerely hope you guys don't believe this. Do none of you have Facebook or watch Facebook shorts? 99% of the ones like this particular one are completely made up bullshite.

Of all the people researching and digging into this thing, random Facebook content creator cracks the case? Producing "facts" that absolutely no one else in the world knows? Underwood really did break our fanbase if this is all it takes for "proof". C'mon fellas let's use common sense here.

Don't hate on Dave for being rich and doing what any one of us wishes we could do....Buy a generational QB to help LSU for the next 3 years. He probably has a deal that ends up making himself money at the end. LSU needs to convince Nuss that being protected the #4 QB might slip him into the 3rd-4th round. Idk the full rundown but I'd say he's top 2 in the nation if he does come back next season. Improve and maybe come off the board first and really make money in 2026.

Is Ellison a Michigan alum or fan? What does he get out of paying Bryce?

Here’s the simple truth of what happened with Bryce. Michigan got desperate late and threw a dumb number out there, this caught the Underwood’s attention but they still weren’t that interested. They came to us and told us what Michigan offered, which I think at the time was $7 million, and asked if we’d match or approach that number. We said of course and things kept moving normally. As the month progressed Michigan continued to grow more desperate and Michigans number kept going up and up until it reached a total of $10.5 million. Michigan was able to provide proof of purchase for this amount, which I think ended up being the most important thing. Now this whole time the Underwood’s were upfront with our staff about everything Michigan was telling them and what their offer had grown too and we continued to match or at least get close. But after UM was able to provide that proof of purchase for the $10.5, the Underwood’s asked us to provide proof of purchase for a number just approaching that, not even the full amount, and we just couldn’t. We couldn’t even provide proof of purchase for $1.5 million. At this point the Underwood’s and their representatives realized we didn’t have near the money that UM had shown them and had basically lied for the last month about having it in the first place. This pissed them off pretty badly which led to the secret visit last Tuesday and ultimately Bryce flipping to UM. I wouldn’t say we got played or used, if anything they were using Michigan to get as much as possible from us. Kade Phillips and DJ Pickett have done the same the last few weeks, we’ve just been able to prove we can give them the money they want. And even still we aren’t giving them near what Miami and Texas have been throwing out there. Had we been able to provide proof of just $7 million or maybe even a little less, Bryce would be in P&G next season. Instead the incompetence of our athletic admin shines through once again.

We have to get our NIL in order. We’re giving women’s fricking basketball $7 million in NIL funds. Woodward allowed Mulkey to bully him into increasing her NIL fund by more than half and is seeking more. Our baseball program gets more than double any other program in the entire country. We’re trying to continue to compete in everything (except men’s basketball) when we just don’t have the money anymore in this new landscape. We have enough to continue to sign top 5 classes in football and do well in the portal, but we can’t spread it so thin. We are a football school, it’s the money maker, it pulls in the eyeballs and the dollars, we should focus on it and solely on it. If it was up to me women’s basketball wouldn’t get a fricking red penny and Kim can walk her arse back to Waco.

I call bullshite

No way a school will throw out a bogus number to later be exposed like Florida a couple of years ago
