I think one of the main reasons is to prevent people from enlisting so the govt can pay for the surgeries. Its a great way if someone wants to transition, the govt pays for it and you spend the majority of your enlisted time in surgery or recovering.

I don't know you would have to ask Eric. He post accurate information that is relevant to politics, that's why he has over 240k followers. Simple Logic would tell you there is no way I am Eric's Twitter account. I wouldn't have the time to post from both accounts.
