I have an avid armor and no complaints. Deer fish and gumbo it has done well. I often comment to my wife that it is one of my best purchases

Which size Avid Armor do you have? I have been looking at those and can't decide between the USV20 and the USV32.

I bought this one from Amazon, right at a year ago. I have been very pleased with it so far.

Another vote for Vacmaster VP230. I had a couple of friends recommend it when I was looking.

I have this one as well and its awesome. There is no comparison between a traditional vacuum sealer and a chamber vac. The oil chamber vacs last forever.

Agreed on the vp230. One of the better purchases I’ve ever made

I have had this one for a year and use it all the time. I kick myself for not buying one sooner.

NOLAGT sold me on buying the JVR, and it has been awesome! Should have pulled the trigger a long time ago, what an upgrade.

The 32. My neighbor has the 20 and I would’ve been happy with it and the $$ saved

Well; I’ve been debating getting one myself. Just squeezed the trigger on the JVR. Appreciate the insights here.

Best source for bags?

Do you think your neighbor’s 20 has enough room to seal a slab of ribs if it was cut in half? We cook in bulk to freeze a lot and use a sous vide bath to warm it up when we get home from work in the evenings. It’s just my wife and me now, so most everything is in quart size bags. The ribs and chunks of brisket I typically use gallon size bags though.

Thanks for posting that chart. I didn’t realize there was a model between the 20 and 32.
