it's seemingly the only reason Sloan is employed right now. If anything goes wrong at all, the entire offense doesn't work.

First, Underwood is signing. He is built for LSU and in this particular situation (regardless of money differences) it feels as if he understands the opportunity in front of him by playing at LSU vs the current Michigan situation. As bad as it feels right now in Baton Rouge, Michigan is even further free falling with a coaching group far worse than LSU's.
Second, there needs to be just as much interest in bringing in other top talent. Underwood is a difference maker without a doubt, but he isn't winning by himself. There are plenty of other holes to fill that could use some homerun signings.

Agreed. This isn't a comment about Sloan but more just a generality but now that the transfer portal is a free for all so that player can always leave if you fire the coach. So really you'd have to keep a bad coach for 3-4 years to theoretically keep that 1 player on the roster. It's a dumb trap to fall into.

Sloan will be moved back to quarterback coach, but keep most of his salary increase the wide receiver Coach will likely move on to another opportunity, and BK will hire a hot shot coordinator that will like a fire under this offense and haveit tailor made to a dual threat quarterback, like Underwood.
