So who was responsible for the crash with Wolf? He was driving like an a-hole before the crash but that truck driver dropped his cig as they crashed.

Either Bruce Joel Rubin or Michael Tolkin.

They have shared liability. Had the truck driver not dropped his cig, he wouldn't have veered, and had Wolf not been driving like a madman, he could have reacted and prevented.

Look on the bright side. At least we’ll all have middle schools named after us.

I never understood why any of them, outside of Fish and his copilot were strapped in at the end. If I know I’m going to my doom with my compadres I’m holding someone’s hand on the way out.

This is one of my guilty pleasures when it’s on cable.

Morgan Freeman plays a fantastic president.

I love the final act with the smaller comet hit.

I always loved that shot with the giant wave traveling houndreds of miles an hour, taking out oil platforms like they were kids toys.

Love this movie. Needed a Leoni sex scene.

I agree, but did have to suspend reality a bit when Elijah Wood was driving on the motorcycle through all these people trapped on the interstate. Someone would have knocked him off and stolen that to get to higher ground. Plus the fact that he could outrun the flood waters so close to the impact area. Great effects, Morgan Freeman could be the real President.

It's a lot better movie than Armageddon, let's face it.

I never understand the way that Jeep crash scene was resolved. Last we saw, the jeep was burning and a Wolf-Bederman floppy disk was about to go up in flames. If the govt got it anyway, what was the point of the crash? It changed nothing about the movie.

It definitely was a mixed bag, and (sorry, spoilers) not everyone comes back to live life like a rockstar.

But the fact is, that once in a while, big rocks do fall from the sky and mess things up for whatever is here.

Or the fact he found a mountain range on the coast of Virginia.

That sure was believable.

Where is this bullshite coming from in this thread? I like Deep Impact, but it is nowhere in the same realm of awesome that Armageddon is. Not even remotely close.

Armageddon was a cheese fest with a cheesy arse Aerosmith song being its most lasting memory. Deep impact was actually a fun movie where the consequences felt more real.

I'm with you bro. I don't know where these dudes get off besmirching Armageddon like this. Deep Impact is fine but it ain't got shite on Armageddon. Watts alone makes Armageddon better.
