That looks like a fun team to watch. Hopefully we start getting some nice crowds at the home games to support them.

Some good looking basketball there, seeing elements of high IQ, combined with energy, length and athleticism..

Everything you wanted was there except for the second half turnovers (really the last 2:00 of the first half + the second half). That mitigated an otherwise really good shooting night. 50%...on the road. You take away 4-5 of those turnovers and an 11 point win becomes a 17-18 point win where KSU never even gets it within single digits in the second half. McMahon's teams have struggled with turnovers. Last year's team was a solid team in terms of FG%. The problem was they took too few shots because turnovers to really maximize their good shooting efforts.

If you can get close to that defensive and rebounding effort each time out LSU should be in just about every game they play this year. You get that plus the decrease in turnovers and LSU will win several games away from home this year. THAT is what puts you in the NCAA Tournament. Road/neutral wins. Last night was a BIG win!

Anybody know why Mike Williams didn’t play? I didn’t hear anything on the broadcast or postgame radio after that.

The three Sears hits at the 13:47 mark in the second half was massive. K State cut the lead to 9, and their fans are getting back into it. LSU has a sloppy offensive possession that ends in a low-percentage shot, and Sears nails it to put the Tigers back up by 12.

I felt like LSU would win after that point in the game.

A 10 man rotation with the emergence of Chest once Fountain comes back will ensure everyone is fresh the whole season barring injury. Great problem to have

Very impressed with Collins in the pick/roll and running the floor. Didn't have great rebound numbers because Chest was hogging all the boards.

The closest they ever got was 9 and that lasted one trip up the court after Sears made a 3 to go back up 12

Mike Williams didn't even play.

We have 11 guys if needed.

But I think the rotation you saw last night will be similar to what we see in league play. Could even throw Reed or one of the bigs in at the 3 if needed. They are all athletic enough to defend the perimeter

Collins is going to be this year's Hunter Dean. A guy who comes off the bench and changes the temp of the game with his quick leaping ability. Dean had some springs last season. Collins has even more (it's why he was a HS All American).

McMahon will continue to start R. Miller at the 5, but you will see more and more posts at the season goes on screaming "where is Collins?!!"

I think I like Collin’s off the bench more to be that spark plug. Take advantage of other bigs when they are tired or the second unit bigs

Miller has skill and great length. It just has to be developed, and there is no quicker way to develop than getting game experience. I don't mind if he continues to start. Starting is just that...the start. Minutes played are more important and who is in in crunch time will tell you who the coaches trust. You close out wins with defense and rebounding as much as anything. If Collins can give you that every night he will be in when it matters most.

I like Robert Miller a lot and I don’t think him being in the lineup is a detriment to the team like Baker was last year.

Unlike Baker, Miller has intangibles and defensive instinct. Offense needs work, but he’s an unselfish player and has shown an ability to be a willing passer and playmaker. Plus he hustles hard on defense (his chase down blocks have been crazy) and does more than just sit in the post and clog the lane.

I like him a lot and think he needs to play. He does so much for this team that doesn’t always reflect in the box score.
