Stay with me. Yes, a lot of federal employees need to be fired, but much more important is cutting whole programs.

I know most people like to hate on federal employees, but there are some talented people that need to be used in more efficient ways.

:why not both:

I tend to agree, but leaner more efficient still equals a lot fewer bodies.

OK so let's find those and keep them. Lets fire the other ones.

Cutting useless programs results in layoffs, for employees who were providing useless services.

That IS the point. Along with very untalented liberals who are working from home and doing nothing. Those people need to tidy up their resumes.

Mass layoffs is happening. Better prepare thy anus.

A lot of the other money is spent on Big Pharma and pointless wars. That’s being tackled also.

If they reduce the size of government, then that should also reduce the number of bullshite programs. They are not mutually exclusive.

I was thinking about things like this last night. Yes, I want illegals deported, and yes, I want healthier food. But both of those will raise food prices. Are Americans willing to take that hit as a trade off?

Certainly, reduction of programs saves more money, but why waste money (tax payer dollars) paying salary, benefits and retirement to unnecessary employees.

The programs cannot go forward without the bureaucracy. Therefore, get rid of the bureaucracy and there is no one to spend the money. That money goes unspent and sunsets return back to the general fund to either be reallocated or not spent. Program can then be eliminated.

Too many employees adds expenses beyond salaries in that they must justify their existence. This leads to more layers of government, more departments, and more expenses.

More importantly, it leads to increases in regulations and other needless hurdles for businesses that hurt our economy.

Our government needs to be as lean as possible.

Fire enough people, you can eliminate whole departments. Those departments are what eat up the budget. Not salaries.

You cut the people who run worthless programs then you’ve also cut the program. These same bureaucrats understand the game, constantly ask and demand for more funds, the whole game is run by people and with less people , you have fewer opportunities for waste.. it’s a snowball that needs to reversed

I agree. Something involving pitchforks would be more appropriate.

Cutting whole programs would obviously result in mass layoffs
