Apple says the new season starts November 15th, which means it actually starts tonight at 8pm Central.
quote:

Episode 201, "The Engineer": Friday, November 15
Episode 202, “Order”: Thursday, November 21
Episode 203: “Solo” Tuesday November 26 8pm
Episode 204: December 5
Episode 205: December 12
Episode 206: December 19
Episode 207: December 26
Episode 208: January 2
Episode 209: January 9
Episode 210: January 16

This is a Mechanical thread. Please keep book knowledge to an IT or Sanitation thread. We do not know why we are here. We do not know who built the Silo. We do not know why everything outside the Silo is as it is. We do not know when it will be safe to go outside. We only know that day is not today.

I don’t know if the silo surrounded by hundreds of dead bodies would be the one I run to. I guess you have to assume the others operate just like the her silo and wouldn’t let her in. Cold open with the rebels from the new silo was a cool way to start the season.

All the Common fans will be disappointed he isn’t in the episode. It will be interesting how they split time between Juliette and the Silo 18 crew since one storyline seems much more interesting than the other. I hope we don’t have to wait two weeks to resolve the cliffhanger with Zahn’s character.

I'm in no way done with the show, but I did find myself fast forwarding through the middle part of the show. It was obvious where it was going to lead and drug it out as long as possible. Filler episode for the season premier is concerning.

The last minute was great and obviously leaves you wanting more, but 90% of that episode was rather pointless.

Did we really need to spend 15 minutes trying to make a bridge?

They should have named this episode Falling.

I agree with the pointless part, when shows have 26 episodes in a season, it’s fine spending a whole episode finding out what the Galactica goes when the water supply is sabotaged. When a show has 10 episodes in the season, it’s a complete waste watching a character build different bridges and fall 4+ times.

This is another Man In The High Castle thing. Great book, but they gotta drag and drag it out for TV so we get tons of pointless filler. Just do a season or however long it takes, tell the story as it is and move on to another show. Other shows do this.
It’s disappointing.

Just read a review of Season 2. I won't spoil it but it can easily be found. Basically says expect more of the same as the first episode.

I expect so. Any flashback to young Juliet, or any other characters story that doesn’t drive the main book plot will be fast forwarded from now on. It’ll probably take me 10 minutes to watch each episode.

Felt like I just watched an episode of American Ninja Warrior.

I really really want to like this show but man there are some really laughable parts. Jessica Ferguson is awesome and I like her in pretty much everything she's been in but the show overall has some terrible acting. Some of the worst in recent memory as far as shows I've watched.

I thought the episode last season when they were working on the broken blade was as corny as you could get but this episode might have topped it. As much as I'd like to because I had high hopes for this show pre season 1, I don't know if I can keep going. Might check back in after a few weeks and see if it gets better.

I forgot how S1 ended, but is Common still around and ruining every scene with his terrible acting?

He hasn't shown up yet, but I'm sure he will soon.

Part of the Juliet backstory I understand is establishing for women that haven't read the series to understand how she picked up her mad skillz, but the relationship building crap with soon to be dead people seems pointless.

This was already done in S1. I don't need a backstory on it. She's good at fixing shite. We know.

She fell once.

Do you realize how stupid this show would be if we had our main character venture into a completely unknown world for the first time and then everything went right, just so we could move the plot along for impatient viewers?

She fell multiple times in the episode.

No one even remotely suggested everything go right. Good job arguing against air.

Maybe I’m misremembering but I thought in season 1 that her boyfriend took her to the vast chasm at the bottom with the water for the first time.

Now in season 2 it shows her going there as a child.

She took him there. He just taught her about the door below the water.
I just finished binging season 1.

The acting has been surprisingly bad haha. Which is disappointing because I loved the book series, so I’ll probably continue to stick with the show.

It's even more disappointing for me because I LOVE Rebecca Ferguson and the books. This series is shite
