Going on over a week.
5 of them in CA. Some of the CA ones still are under 70% counted.
This shite has to be fixed, I think even normie norm types are starting to get agitated about this new election system that was forced on us.

This process of having voting opened for 3 months. And it taking 2 weeks to count is not a good system and sows distrust and doubt.

One day to vote, and count and deliver results that night. End of story.

It’s insane how little attention these down ballot contests are getting. I think a lot of the general public, low propensity voters don’t understand how important these are to Trumps success and there’s rampant corruption with them.

Its to cheat and manufacture votes, anyone that cant see this is an idiot. If they oppose change they support fraud and are a threat to democracy.

States are responsible for conducting elections but Congress should set some standards(as you suggested), not only a timetable, but also standards to secure the election process.
If a state doesn't meet the standards in federal elections, that states votes will not be counted.

If... and that's IF they insist on this vote by mail nonsense.... then all early votes must be postmarked no later than 2 weeks prior to election day. All mail in votes must be tabulated by close of polling on election day and reported not earlier than 1 minute after polls close and not later that 1 hour after polls close. No exceptions.

Ideally, though, do away with that nonsense and have an early voting period, much like we do in Tennessee that opens 2 weeks prior to election day and closes the Saturday before. Votes are counted and reported by close of polls.

I count twelve open seats bc it's 216-207 with 435 up for election in total. Am I mistaken?

If true, we would need 2/12 to win the majority, whereas they would need 11/12.

If the computers cannot do this efficiently then mandate paper ballots with colored in circles so each vote can be manually verified by multiple people

Yes my thoughts also, not like you voters and officials don't have 4 years to know an election is coming, why do the timelines and counting have to hit or go over the Election date, start that crap early and like the quote, count them before election day but hold count numbers maybe until Election night.

I think part of the reason it’s so slow is that the RNC has people on the ground and they’re having a staring contest to see who blinks first.

It’s all super petty by the Dems.

There should be large fines for every day after Election Day.

Incentive to get their shite together.

Put those fines into a trust that can’t be touched by the offending state ever.

Yeah, they'd have to hold the numbers until the polls close for the State.

I fail to understand why it's so hard. It's not like people...at 4:59 on election night go... "Whoah... there's a presidential election. Martha, where's that mail in ballot? Gotta run it to the post office." Um... it's too late, dude. You've had months to get it in. Sorry, go stand in line or do better next time.

Meanwhile in Pennsylvania they've counted 194 ballots in the past 18 hours. McCormick tallied 108 and Casey 86. McCormicks lead holding steady at around 30K. But, just keep counting. Maybe Casey will concede by Inauguration Day.

A couple of those Cali seats should go to Republicans unless the dims find a box of votes the 'forgot' about.
