I have a French press now and looking to get something else. Would like something I can set to make in the morning to automatically brew. Not sure if I want a bean grinder on it or not. TIA

Whats your budget and how much coffee are you making?

I'd say the Aiden for a pot if its in your budget, otherwise, just an every day $30 mr coffee.

The Oxo drip maker is excellent, had good reviews about temperature and flow optimization and wasn't expensive. Has been working for us for a few years. Time to go use it now...

I use a mocha master and have been happy with it. It’s about 3 years old.

If you go the specialty coffee association site they give all of their approved coffee makers. Basically, they hit the bench marks for water temps.

Same with me, roughly same time frame of ownership also.

Same, mine is about 7 years old. No timer or grinder or any frills. It just makes coffee and keeps it hot for 90 minutes.

Over the years I've had a few Mr. Coffee and the last couple I've had were Cuisinart and a Gourmia.

Basic 12 cup coffee makers to brew the liquid morning jump start of the day. I'm not much on the French Press or Espresso thing, so a basic coffee maker fills the bill.

Bought a moccamaster on Facebook marketplace for $125, it makes a great cup of coffee.

Had a Moccamaster for last 3 years; we have high mineral water and despite using filter and cleaning it…it’s just not as robust as Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker at 1/3 the cost we replaced it with and makes better coffee.

I have the Breville Precision brewer. It’s been great. Can even do pour over with it

We had several Cuisinart coffee makers and they make good coffee, but the control panels started messing up after about two years. We then switched to French press. Nothing to mess up and I like the coffee it produces better.

$300 and up new and they don't even have a clock with auto start? Seems like a big swing and a miss on the design. You get that feature on a $29.99 walmart special

It’s $300 because it’s built like a tank and will last forever. It also is SCA certified and will hit a specific water temperature consistently for as long as you own it.

If a clock/auto-start is what you value, then you likely aren’t grinding fresh beans and the improved brewing that the moccamaster has would be lost on you. Alternatively, you could buy something like a switchbot to turn it on.
