Really apparent he didn’t agree with Gayles decision again.

quote:

Loomis: "It just gets right back to what stares at you right in the face ... we’ve had an abnormal amount of injuries, including to our QB, and we haven’t been able to overcome that, so that puts pressure and stress on the organization and ultimately it was cause for a change.”

Every team has injuries

Still have to win the games you can win and it was time to move away from a losing culture

Dennis is a historically, objectively awful head coach.

Stay away from the Superdome until Loomis is fired.

Those who go are a part of the problem

Injuries and not incompetent drafting and cap management.

Admitting Dennis is a failure is admitting he’s a failure, so he won’t

And look at the wording, yes he is a good football coach…but he’s a fricking awful head coach

Mickey really just needs to shut the frick up, Everytime he opens his mouth he makes things worse.

The reason the injuries had such a negative impact on the team is because the team has been in cap hell for the last 10 years and because of the cap situation the team did not have the luxury to have capable backups that could fill in for injured players. The roster has been depleted to several aging slow veterans, a few good players, many average players, and some roster fill.

I do think Loomis made a deal to hold the fort down through the end of the season while Gayle puts together a search committee to advise her on the next GM. I see no way DA was fired over injuries and Loomis does not hold more accountability for that than DA.

I was probably a Mickey apologist a few years ago.

All he does now is anger me.

He's a dude that has checked out and knows he has the parachute.

He needs to go. His continued employment in his current position is a spit in the eyes of Saints fans.

What about the two prior years when he had the easiest schedule in the NFL?

Ego so big, he just can’t admit that he was so dead wrong

I actually dislike Loomis more than DA.

quote:

Loomis: “Dennis Allen is a fantastic football coach, and I think anybody in our league who talk about him thinks he’s a fantastic football coach. He is. I think in this case, the circumstances created the record. That’s just the trutj and a lot of people don’t want to hear it."

Yeah, as a DC, but not as a HC.

I’m not a DA fan but he isn’t wrong. It all turned on one injury and then crumbled after a couple more.
