3-1 against Alabama, Florida, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma isn’t bad at all. The problem is.

You’re right at 9-3. Playoffs are gone and you’re prepping for what is more than likely an undesirable bowl game.
LSU wins their season opener and going 3-1 to close the year still puts you very much in playoff contention.
Hopefully this team can beat Clemson next year and start winning season opening games again.
It is imperative to begin the season 1-0.

If BK loses another opener he will be on the hot seat probably. If we’re gonna lose these big openers every year we might as well just not schedule them. No point. We gonna play a tough schedule with or without a big opener.

The fact is that if LSU loses another game, it is not worthy of the playoff. I never thought it would make the playoff this year, something that was confirmed when BK spit up his third hairball on opening day.

4-0 in November. I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Which is why crapping the bed once again in the season opener against an average (at best) USC team was such a season wrecking thing to do. This LSU team is far from great, but plenty good enough to go at least 10-2 with an EXTREMELY favorable schedule this year.
Failing to make the playoffs this year with this schedule in year 3 of CBK would be a failure, plain and simple.

4-0 is obviously better but Alabama at home and Florida on the road. Not to mention a Vanderbilt team that can score points and 3-1 isn’t too bad at all. Oklahoma looks to have a decent enough defense too.

Florida is our only road game.

The fact that USC is 4-4 and 13th in the Big 10 is really hurting our resume. A real gaffe of an L for our 2024 campaign.

Focus on the positive.
We need more practices and the cheezy bowl will allow Kelly to prepare next year.
He needs to teach discipline and that’s 14 more practices since we could not hammer it home this year.

I disagree. LSU scheduled up unlike many of the teams in the top 10.
Indiana, OSU, Oregon, Miami, Notre Dame, and TAMU schedules are atrocious.

I find it humorous that 9-3 every year is acceptable from BK but wasn't from previous coaches.

We are winning out and so is ATM. We then beat ATM in the SEC Championship game and become SEC champions and are seeded 3rd in the inaugural college football playoffs.

I think context matters. 9-3 from previous coaches was either treading water or declining because of recruiting. 9-3 from BK is more acceptable because of the troops coming in are very talented.
But LSU is winning out and going 10-2. So there's that.

Did we not have elite talent under O and Les?

But please, take the time to give details and explain yourself rather than just throw mud in a vague attack on Kelly.
