Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries, his partner Matt Smith and a third man, Jim Jacobson, were arrested Tuesday as part of a criminal sex trafficking investigation by the FBI and federal prosecutors in Brooklyn, sources familiar with the investigation told ABC News.
The investigation involved whether the men sexually exploited and abused young men at parties they hosted in the United States and around the world, the sources said.
Jeffries, who transformed Abercrombie from a traditional Ohio outfitter into a powerhouse teen fashion brand, has been accused in civil lawsuits of exploiting young men for sex at parties he hosted at his Hamptons estate in New York, London, Venice and elsewhere with his partner, Smith.
The alleged victims have said they were recruited by a middleman, Jacobson.
One of the plaintiffs, David Bradberry, a former crewman on the reality series "Below Deck," said Jeffries made Abercrombie successful by the "oversexualization of young men."
His lawsuit accused Jeffries, Smith, Jacobson and Abercrombie itself of luring attractive young men under the guise of making them an Abercrombie model and then forcing them to take drugs and perform sex acts.

That seems like an odd thing to throw in the article. That's called marketing. Stick to this kind of stuff:

That should get you a conviction.
But don't claim he marketed his clothing line.

Who knew that the owners of the stores that liked to have huge photos of half-naked young men prominently displayed were into gay stuff?
I naively thought a woman was behind their marketing, judging by how the females in my family would go ga-ga over the photos on the A&F shopping bags.

Used to be owned by Limited-Les Werner but he started after it was sold. Wonder how prevalent this is in retail?

I was just listening to a podcast about this called the Abercrombie Guys. I thought it was going to be about the Abercrombie and Fitch Outfitters but it was this model talking about how he was groomed and eventually ended up at some weird sex experience with the CEO and his gay lover. CEO also had a wife and family but had this gay lover and would have a literal line of Abercrombie modelsthey would frick at his mansion in the Hamptons. It is a series and I only listened to the first episode because I felt filthy after liste ING to all of it.

My parents tell me that Abercrombie used to be a nice men’s clothing brand in the early 80s.
I just know of it as what the cool kids wore in the early 2000s. I think of it has hip casual clothing.
I guess this makes sense after reading the article.

Yeah this Jeffries guy took over A&F in 1992. There's no telling how many young guys he took advantage of over such a long period of time.
Disgusting.
