Any reason Karlo is not playing after signing him to a contract...

at the time of the signing he was a possible starter for us.

If not a starter I thought he was supposed to be a key backup piece?

At best he plays the Billy role from 22-23 with us

This is no different than the Melli situation, and some of you didn't learn.
We can't go into a season relying on some Euro guy that's never played an nba minute before to play significant minutes for us in the regular season.

People on here really thought that summer league was real. Summer league is not real, and Karlo is a minimum-salary player who should be expected to produce a minimum-salary level of skill.

This ain’t the regular season baw, this is the time to see what we have. Not playing him in the preseason is dumb
ETA: and not because I think he could he a starter or even a guy who should get significant minutes: I just don’t think any of our bigs warrant significant minutes

It was clear in the first preseason game that the pecking order of our "centers" was:
1. Theis
2. JRE
3. Missi
4. Karlo
Nor did Karlo do anything in that first preseason game to indicate that he should move up in that order -- he did not play well.
So now we have threads bemoaning that our 4th-best center isn't playing more?
Karlo is going to spend most of this season the same place he finished last season: Birmingham. The only difference is that he's getting paid a little more this season.

We have had success with Jose and Naji proving to be better than their initial contracts.
I think it has more to do with learning the system. He may show to be quite good once we get into the season.

I'd rather play Karlo over JRE.
