Kiffin’s ego cost Ole Miss the game.

If he would have taken a knee at the end of the first half instead of trying to show how much smarter he is than everyone else, Ole Miss wins.

Kiffin made several really poor decisions last night. Its par for the course.
He is a really good coordinator though.

You do realize if LSU is down 7 at halftime still, they may have had a different gameplan for certain things in the second half? You can’t take out something and expect everything else to have remained the same.
I think LSU’s Defense, and Nuss, Anderson and Lacy being clutch won LSU that game. Not because Lane Kiffin made a mistake.

What does being aggressive have to do with arrogance? Teams do it all the time. 2019 LSU was notorious for going for the quick strike end of half score.
You can hate the guy but no need to be ridiculous in the process

He wanted the “2 for 1” that the rant is so obsessed with.
We got the last points of the first an no points scored until 430 left in the third.
Hence why my stance is the benefit of deferring is WAY overstated

Kiffin’s lack of intelligence cost Ole Mrs the game. The guy is dumb.

I don’t know. He had 3 timeouts and a minute to work with and at that point the defense was pressuring Dart but still yielding yards between the 20s. Also his kicker clearly has a canon leg.
I more questioned his reliance on analytics which has its merits but also fails to take the “feel” of the game.

No, two things did, but not this.
1) Kifffin plays analytics like gambling and counting cards at a casino. Even doing that, you get a smal advatange over the house...like 52% if you play perfect. The only way this works is the longterm and is why he needs plays to hit when they are there. The dropped long TD pass, the missed short FG, and the missed 4th and inches all in the first quarter were wild in sequence and should have given Ole Miss a 17-0 lead. Instead, he broke analytics because he lost them early (hence kicking a much longer FG in the 2nd on 4th and 2).
2) He designs his first 15-20 plays and then hits a lull EVERYTIME. Well, that is what happened. Ole Miss first 20 plays again should have yielded 17 points and instead got zero. ONce he is off script, and it becomes man to man, coach to coach, he becomes much more beatable.

Ole Miss got the ball with 26 seconds left in the first half. Should have taken a knee then get the ball to start the second half.

People forget that risks are taken based upon how the game is unfolding.

He didn't get the #2 ranked offense in the country by being conservative.

Ridiculous, you absolutely go for points there, this wasn’t Bama 3rd and 20 with 11 seconds left

name the really good coordinators that have made Ole Miss a perennial top 10 team. It’s Ole Miss… what he’s done there could only be considered amazing by any rational measurement historically.

No one really takes knees to end the 1st half anymore. Especially with 20 seconds. He didn’t do anything most every coach in America would have done. Most would have run a draw instead of throwing it, but no one is taking a knee with 20 seconds left.

lolol...
Hes a coordinator who will never get a team into the playoffs as a HC.

if LSU doesn't allow the RB to run for a 50 yard TD on 4th down then LSU wins outright. a lot of if's in football.
