Is there anywhere other than Louie’s that serves breakfast on or in vicinity of campus. Kids asked to eat Waffle House on way in, but was thinking if I could grab breakfast somewhere on campus it would be better.. I assume Louie’s is a long wait on game days any advice? TIA

Ruby Slipper is better and you'll smell better when you leave. It's a little over a mile from campus.

Matgerne’s has good bacon and sausage biscuits in addition to regular hot breakfasts. Nice view of Tiger Stadium as you sit at the bar.

Zeeland Street Market, Simple Joes and Another Broken Egg are more options off campus...

Anybody know why they’ve close off the student union on Saturdays during football season?

That place used to be great to hangout at or eat before the game

Probably because they don't want to pay staff to come in for overtime and clean the floors/run the restaurants.

Haven't found anything bad there yet! One of the top three Margaritas in BTR!

Not really.. youngsters ( high school) kids tailgating on campus with parents would all head over there to “hang out”.
Became a problem. A serious one.. Sorta like law school… people would stuff toilets with toilet paper and flood lower restroom.. had to shut it down.. then people would go to lower doorways of law school and urinate in corners.. had to shut it down.. there were portatoilets but lines to long I guess..

That have tried to limit points of bad behavior and still offer amenities.

I think it is more the local teens who overran it and harassed people on game days.

Is it still open on non-home game weekends?
