So how are Semaglutides healthy?

I get the weight loss aspect but I’m talking from a nutrition point of view. Our bodies require certain nutrients and minerals to function.
I know some people who literally do not eat hardly at all. One I know went from normal eating (2 meals a day and occasional snacks) to eating one small serving of cottage cheese a day. And soon as that person sees the weight loss amount start to plateau the dr ups the dosage. I’ve been told if they try to eat they feel sick
At some point wouldn’t you be malnourished and have serious health issues/organ failure?

If you eat the wrong stuff, sure.
Also if you keep eating poorly (just less of it), when you're off the meds you're likely to revert back weight-wise.

You eat less food, but prioritize getting the nutrients you need. It's not hard. If a fatty isn't getting the right nutrients, semaglutide isn't changing anything for them other than them not being fatties.

How is this healthy as a society? Were forcing people to take drugs just because they look different

The fiance has been on it now for about a year. He does eat smaller portions but he's purposeful in getting enough food to not be malnourished. His doctor also encouraged him to utilize a multi-vitamin. But he's also on a appropriate dosage (it's like 2 times smaller than what some people are taking for weight loss purposes).
If you're just eating one serving of cottage cheese a day either your doctor needs to get in your arse about it or you need to see a different doctor. I wonder how many of those people are just ordering the drugs at full cost through a compound pharmacy or something along those lines without the appropriate education.

No. Most people will just eat what they eat but far less of it. And considering that having diabetes cuts more than a decade off your life expectancy, I’d say eating 60% less food and taking supplements is a solid alternative.

I am not obese but could lose about 15-20 but am Type 2 diabetic. It does nothing for appetite suppression for me but it does lower my A1C. Went from an A1C of 7 to 5 in 3 months.

You just set off the bat signal for certain posters
The answer is that you still need to make sure that you are eating a certain amount of nutrients (protein for example), otherwise you're just starving yourself.

People on these drugs eat, and will get plenty of nutrition.
That is on them mentally and not the drugs. Many discussions on the H/F board here, you can get real answers and not the OT spin version.

Question:
Other than the obvious of not having as much food in your belly at any given time, do these drugs react negatively with alcohol in any way?

Probably the first time I've ever given you an upvote

Another question - do these drugs do anything to help you lose weight other than suppress appetite?
For example, take 2 identical twins on identical diets. One takes these drugs and eats less. One doesn't take these drugs and eats the same as his twin (less). It's a very controlled study. Will they hypothetically, all else being the same, lose weight at the same rate? Or do these drugs change how the body metabolizes existing fat/muscle in a way that is different than someone on the same diet but not on these drugs?

Nobody is being forced to do anything.
It helps society because as the years go by people are fitter and will lower healthcare costs.

Not true
Eventually we’ll all have to pay for everybody to be on the fat people shot

I understand that’s how it’s supposed to work but seems a whole lot of people don’t follow that because they find it difficult to eat the amount of food they need for proper nutrition. If they try to they feel sick, so they just don’t eat anything

Good friend of mine who drinks a lot says he drinks less. When he drinks it doesn’t seem to cause any different effects other than he just doesn’t drink as heavy. Says he smokes less too

If we just start putting 7 year olds on it, we'll be better in the long run.

No, but eating a lot less food could increase the risk of stomach irritation from the hooch.
