Those Simping For Continued Military Aid To Ukraine, A Reminder Of How Empires Collapse…

Observations on the Causes of the Decline of Ancient Civilization…
…Knowledge of the effects of government interference with market prices makes us comprehend the economic causes of a momentous historical event, the decline of ancient civilization.
It may be left undecided whether or not it is correct to call the economic organization of the Roman Empire capitalism. At any rate it is certain that the Roman Empire in the second century, the age of the Antonines, the “good” emperors, had reached a high stage of the social division of labor and of interregional commerce.
Several metropolitan centers, a considerable number of middle-sized towns, and many small towns were the seats of a refined civilization. The inhabitants of these urban agglomerations were supplied with food and raw materials not only from the neighboring rural districts, but also from distant provinces.
What brought about the decline of the empire and the decay of its civilization was the disintegration of this economic interconnectedness, not the barbarian invasions. The showdown came when in the political troubles of the third and fourth centuries the emperors resorted to currency debasement.
The alien aggressors merely took advantage of an opportunity which the internal weakness of the empire offered to them. From a military point of view the tribes which invaded the empire in the fourth and fifth centuries were not more formidable than the armies which the legions had easily defeated in earlier times...

No one is ‘simping’ for continued military aid to Ukraine. Those wanting this to continue want it to continue because they personally profit from it, and they want the profit to continue, regardless how it damages the country.

My favorite argument is Putin is going to take over all of Europe. Bastard can’t even take 100 miles of Ukraine. It’s all a money grift. Same reason why there’s no aid money sent to NC. They can’t launder and steal that like they can the Ukraine money.

When failed policies have consequences.
The US State Dept has been trying to run our foreign policy for decades. Not the elected officials. We promised Ukraine, that if it gave up the old Soviet nuclear weapons, we would provide protection. Well, now we aren’t living up to that part of the bargain.
Why would the United States make such a promise knowing the history of Russia and its ties to Ukraine?
We are currently witnessing the “find out“ stage of those choices.

Runaway debt, outsourcing our manufacturing overseas and bringing in millions of 3rd world immigrants who don’t fit in or believe in our way of governance and civilized society will be the end of this nation

God sets up empires and takes down empires
the rest is just money laundering. if you don't get those 2 points, you know nothing.

They may say they are sympathetic, we know it is untrue, they just want the cash. No real sympathy, so… not really simping

The rando with a PFP of a Ukrainian flag isn’t profiting. He’s simping. There are far more of those in our country than there are people profiting from the aid.

I have a friend from high school that simps for the Ukraine at least once a week on FB (yeah I know) and he has a bunch of other people simping along with him. Trust me, none of them are profiting from it

The ones that matter - the ones voting to print cash and send it over - are the only ones that matter. And they are not motivated by sympathy. The others just go along with it, because it means their party gets more cash, and more votes.

God of our fathers, known of old,
Lord of our far-flung battle-line,
Beneath whose awful Hand we hold
Dominion over palm and pine—
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!
The tumult and the shouting dies;
The Captains and the Kings depart:
Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart.
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!
Far-called, our navies melt away;
On dune and headland sinks the fire:
Lo, all our pomp of yesterday
Is one with Nineveh and Tyre!
Judge of the Nations, spare us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!
If, drunk with sight of power, we loose
Wild tongues that have not Thee in awe,
Such boastings as the Gentiles use,
Or lesser breeds without the Law—
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!
For heathen heart that puts her trust
In reeking tube and iron shard,
All valiant dust that builds on dust,
And guarding, calls not Thee to guard,
For frantic boast and foolish word—
Thy mercy on Thy People, Lord!
Rudyard Kipling

Countries who cannot defend themselves need to learn how to defend themselves!

The democrats and sometimes republicrats have said they will repair infrastructure for 35 years, fix health care, equal pay for women.
We are the worlds Gladys Kravitz and perform color revolutions, where it is none of our damned business.
We give aid to everyone carte blanche' like imbeciles and disobey the simpliest common sense.
Take care of your own country first; or you are no good to anyone else.
