Bummer.
They should have let him in.

Man, as a life long reds fan I am saddened by this news.
The king is dead. Rip Pete. Cincinnati through and through good and bad

Damn I'm getting old, Pete was 83?
I was a baseball junky growing up and idolized Pete Rose, Cal Ripken Jr and Nolan Ryan.

Damn that sucks. Guy that works for me just got one of the “sorry I bet on baseball” signed balls.

Godspeed Charlie Hustle.
Now that he can’t actively screw up his chances to get into the Hall, I won’t be surprised if he isn’t inducted pretty soon. One of the greats on the field.

The copilot role in Airplane was written for him
But he turned it down & it went to Lew Alcindor

Do you know what it's like dragging Walton and Lanier up the court kid?

It's a travesty that he's not in the Hall of Fame.

The only thing I can figure is that they sent Dikembe ahead first just to keep blocking Pete's efforts to get in the hall.

Me too. I remember in the mid 60's reading an SI article where Rose talked about starting to lift weights and all the baseball experts said that would tighten his body up and he would be susceptible to pulled muscles and shorten his career.
Just loved watching the guy play. You could tell it really mattered to him.

Just need a football player now for the trifecta

I think it's Steve McMichael. He lived for his HOF Induction and I'm a bit surprised that he's held on this long.
