I thought deep fakes would be some amazing technology making it hard to tell the real from the generated, however, it’s more clear every day that the majority of people are dumb enough to be fooled by the most basic generic staged videos. We don’t even need AI. Every idiot with an iPhone and 5 minutes of set up generates constant outrage and division. We live in such a bizarre confused and pathetic time and culture.
