And they're all voting. Gee, I wonder who they'll vote for?

Medicaid seems too low. Illegal immigrants can get what is called "Emergency Time-Limited Medicaid" for the birth of their child and then the child (a Us citizen) gets Medicaid for 12 months from the month of birth no matter what. I can almost guarantee it is higher than 39% of illegally headed households with Medicaid.

If you can't pay your own way, you don't deserve to be here.

How does one qualify to have the government provide their livelihood in exchange for doing nothing?

Unemployment has prereqs and limited duration. How are people getting income for life?

Well I'm on disability although 4 and 1/2 years after the stroke I can't seem to get any other assistance which I know I qualify for according to the law
They take Medicaid payments out of my disability but I can't seem to get a Medicaid card without that I can't even try to get seen by a doctor or a clinic

I was a taxpayer for over forty years

I can attest the system is irrevocably broken

we all would be better served if they just gave us TAXPAYERS one lump sum at the beginning of the year and when you run out youre out

Supposed to but dont work like that, no one is checking or overseeing the program. So many loopholes too.

We need to just call welfare what is actually is. It’s a lifestyle.

Yes, and no. For something like food stamps and TANF (cash assistance/welfare) you have to enumerate, or at least apply for an SSN and not be eligible for one of a specific set of reasons. For Medicaid the same is also true except for the Emergency Time-Limited Medicaid which covers, you guessed it, emergency conditions.

Interestingly true refugees typically don't qualify for cash assistance welfare because they are receiving refugee assistance - which is considered countable income for welfare and food stamp purposes (but not Medicaid) - and it puts them above the income limit for cash assistance. Usually not for Food Stamps though.

There should be a movement to not file taxes on time by all earners..send a message that next time it wont be late filings...it will be not at all.

Seeing that crap is crazy. I had 3 mini strokes 6 years ago due to an issue with my carotid artery and the doctor made me stay out of works for close to 3 months in order to recover from the surgery on my neck.

I’m a single father of 3, unable to work and they told me I didn’t qualify for unemployment/temporary unemployment or food assistance even with a letter from the surgeon.

It blew my mind bc they seem to hand it out to people that refuse to work and now illegal immigrants.

And there are lawyers all over the country helping crooks bilk social security.

One of my friends is one and I can’t even talk to him about the shite he does.

I used a lawyer to make sure I got my disability because I mean with all of that was happening right around the pandemic,, zero contact the fears

I couldn't take chances with any further delays
and the deal is . they get a month payment for what they do plus whatever expenses the guy made up 4 1/2 months worth of bullshite he never did

But I didnt feel comfortable filing a complaint against him because it would put my disability itself into question and who knows how long it would take to get reinstated
