Swinson has been carrying around a football everywhere he goes since Fall Camp

More specifically an NFL sized football if I remember the story correctly.

Hope he gets 2-3 more this weekend and in two weeks wrecks some things vs OM!

Very pleased with his progress and improvement. He's taken up the slack for Perkins as far as QB pressure and in fact has a more versatile pass rushing repertoire that is more geared to sustained success.

In fact I think he and Savion have given us a pretty good one-two pass rush punch and for me it's a pleasant surprise. I think we probably blitz more than we really have to as I think these guys can get there on their own.

I'd personally like to see less blitzing and more folks in coverage as that is really where we're struggling more.

Imagine if they unleashed Perkins and had them as a 1-2 pass rush combo. Would be lethal. One one of Swinson's big plays they had Perkins dropping into coverage.

I think this has proven to be a false narrative really. I don’t think anyone “Leashed” Perk, he just got some what figured out/exposed after SEC DCs got a better look at his tape.

Perk is a phenomenal athlete. Unfortunately he's also a “Tweener”. He’s too small to be a DE, he just gets eaten up by OLinemen.
