Why would Trump do this? Also it looks like his town hall is first. I don't see any benefit in doing this.

Why? Especially on Univision. You already know the woman with the terrible accent will be asking stupid gotcha questions.

Also, if you are still undecided..just stay the F home!

Dumb decision as voting has already commenced.

This might be the reason he is going. Univision did an interview 10 months ago and it was actually a good interview. I still think its a trap.

Youtube - Exclusive interview with Donald Trump on Univision

The video starts at the 1:05 mark.

This is one thing that bothers me about Trump. He is a idiot when it comes to these decisions. The first debate was an easy no win decision but he did it and it went exactly how everyone expected and they forced Biden out. The ABC debate was an ambush with Kamala's best friend heading the news room but he walked right into it. He is leading with Hispanic voters so why do this? Another bad decision by his campaign

Trump does well in Town Hall environments. Debates are, of course, not fair territory.

This will be the gobalist last chance. I'd be concerned that they will try again.

No offense, but you’re clearly not a “big picture” guy.

I understand but I guarantee Univision will have plants in the audience to ask loaded questions to Trump compared to Kamala who will know the questions ahead of time. I many times does Trump have to experience this to learn his lesson. He will do it and then complain after how unfairly he was treated, which he is correct but some people will not care about that

I don't understand why he's doing this. There's nothing to gain because I don't think he'll reach or convince undecided voters with this venue.

Trump will do fine if they have plants. He won't be debating moderators. I love how people respond to him from his town hall performances.

The "big picture" was not doing the first debate in June and allowing them to switch candidates. He would of won by Historical numbers against Biden and it would have been to big to cheat. Now it's going to be a close election

I don't think it's going to be all that close.

Ok so let’s start right there - do you suggest that Trump should’ve run from the debate, decline to show up?

Why does the Trump campaign team keep accepting these deals? It’s a no win situation. My opinion would flip if JD was speaking.

I'm on the fence about Trump going first being a good or a bad thing.

On the bad side is that Harris gets a sneak peak at the questions and should be able to prepare better for her responses.

On the good side Trump's responses aren't going to change going first or second but Harris will spend almost her entire time attacking Trump's responses when she needs to spend her time articulating her positions and not just attacking Trump.

Overall, I think doing a national town hall is a good thing - particularly if Trump actually focuses on illegal immigration being extremely detrimental to those immigrants who did it the right way.
