Growing that tall that fast will make a kid clumsy as hell until he neurologically catches up with the physical changes. His coordination will likely improve by high school.

He's 13 and growing at an unimaginable rate. He hasn't needed to work on his form as he is so much bigger than everyone else around him. Give him just a little time to develop. He might not ever be worth a darn, but it's way too early to tell.

If I were him I'd be working day and night trying to get good at basketball. Otherwise, being 7ft+ tall is just an incredible inconvenience to life.
