How do y’all handle work calendars?

I’m on a relatively small team (9 people) where we have a good bit of travel involved, and we’ve realized that we need some way to all know where everyone is throughout the week. We decided we were going to send calendar invites to everyone on our team whenever someone is traveling.
Sounded like a good idea at first, but now I’ve got a thousand f’ing invites in my calendar telling me Conor is in Raleigh or Sandra is in Tampa. My calendar is so covered in shite it’s almost hard to tell wtf is going on.
There has to be a better way to handle this, right? How do y’all deal with this at work?

When you set up the event on the calendar, make sure the notifications drop down is on "none". Problem solved.

Maybe create a shared calendar for the team and have them go put their schedule on there rather than sending directly to everyone.

Create a shared calendar were everyone puts where they are.
We have a department calendar in outlook and we just add at the top of we are out

Sharepoint calendar per team. No invites. Put where you are everyday and everyone can go see.

Just get access to your teams calendar, as long as they update it you can see where they are

Sounds like a horrible idea to me.
Not sure what system you are using but in MS Outlook you can easily overlay all you team members’ calendars over yours to see where everyone is.

We have a separate calendar that shows up in everyone's Outlook where people post when they're out of office or traveling.
There are no invites or reminders; we just refer to the travel calendar as needed to determine when folks are out of office.

I've set up a separate travel email account that people tag it in and we all have access to and it keeps it from polluting my other email calendars. But i work for a dysfunctional company where i already have 3 other email accounts to monitor.

A single shared calendar. If someone doesn't update their travel or days off, they're fired. Can turn it on/off as needed.
Simple as that.

You can use shared calendars on Google.

Teams has a message feature that allows you to put a status just above the text pane stating your current situation. So all you would have to do is set a status, and curious minds can look at their chat with you to see where you are.

I know Outlook and Workday can have a group/team function whereby you can look at a calendar and see when everyone on a group/team is out of office
