A disposable employee is sent on a human expedition to colonize the ice world Niflheim. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact.

Starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role and co-starring Steven Yuen, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo. Written and directed by Bong Joon-ho, based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. For those unfamiliar with the name, Bong wrote and directed Parasite (masterpiece) and Snowpiercer (weird masterpiece). After a few delays, the release date was finally set for January 31, 2025, putting it outside of 2025 Oscar contention.

Bong Joon-ho also directed:

Memories of Murder - true story and the South Korean Zodiac. Fincher was inspired by this masterpiece.

The Host - Godzilla meets Spielberg. A fantastic Kiaju movie that is also an edge of your seat thriller with great dark comedy.

Pattison is the only good thing to come from Twilight. He's just a great actor.

Edited because I watched it again, his voice kills me

Was the host that crazy giant frog creature that lived under the bridge and the fat Korean slacker had to fight to rescue his sister?

So like a jazzed-up version of Moon basically.

There seem to be some fairly obvious, vital plot differences

That was my favorite part. He also had a pretty crazy voice for the Heron in the dubbed version of The Boy and the Heron.

The part where they're dumping the body but discover he's still alive.

"It's fine..."

Definitely got some Fallout vibes from this.

It’s definitely going for black comedy. I’m pretty much in on whatever Pattinson does lately.

This actually looks like something I would go to the movies and see finally. The commercial with the Song: Mickey Your so Fine is pretty good.
