Just a couple of days after the Pac-12 Conference announced that was inviting four Mountain West Conference schools for the 2026-27 season, the Tulane Green Wave may be on the conference’s list next. Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman reported during Big Noon Kickoff that "sources tell me that the Pac-12 has some interest in Tulane and Memphis from the AAC."

I think their egos are too big to be in a conference with Fresno State, Boise, Colorado State, etc.
They probably go independent if the ACC folds

Right about the time Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas moved to the Southeast.

Semantics and verbiage is very important to college athletics. All about that cheddar baby.

Normally you don’t hear about Tulane expansion news until it actually happens. This has a very different feel to it.

My feelings about the PAC are generally good but I want to know who teams 8,9, and 10 are before making an opinion.

Not happening. They joined the ACC specifically to avoid being in a conference with the Boise State’s of the world.

The PAC-8 is not where Tulane should go and would be horrible for them AND the conference

They should stay put in the American and go ACC when Clemson and friends jump to the SEC.

I think it’s time we start talking about putting the old band back together. Tulane back to the SEC!!

Cal hasn't made the Rose Bowl or won an outright conference title since the 1950's. Stanford has a decent run for about a decade with Harbaugh and David Shaw, but for the past 5-6 seasons they're back to where they traditionally have been....below 500

So if they go independent, who do they think is going to be interested in paying for TV rights for a pair of teams that have traditionally sucked and don't have a national following?

Then again, the American may actually be true to its name, if they can add Air Force to the mix and have all three service academies in the same conference.

Did you just crawl out from under a rock and not see all of the other conference shifting going on over the last year?

Memphis works for us. Gives us a “rivalry” game at the end of the year.

I’m kind of okay with 8 teams since it gives Tulane/Memphis FIVE noncon games to play historic southern opponents.

Also, I don’t think the ACC thing is happening.

Tulane would make a ton more sense to the ACC and then ULL could take their spot in the AAC although the Sun Belt might be a better overall conference
