Could this end up being the best Saints offense ever?

Yes I know, we had some really good ones under Payton. But if they continue to perform pretty steadily like they have the past two weeks, could we top the best of Payton’s years? Just something to ponder.

It’s early.

But this isn’t topping 2011.

7,474 total yards
34.2 ppg
Converted 3rd downs nearly 60% of the time

Need to stay healthy.

Would have liked to see more out of Perry or Means. Need a third receiver badly.

The last team I remember being this good on both sides of the ball is the 85 bears. As good as the defense is, they are not as good as the bears but close. But also different eras, so hard to judge. But very impressed so far. Very fun team to watch.

You need to put some respect on the 2011 Saints offense.
It should be early December before this team is mentioned with the 2011 offense.

I refuse to believe. I need to see 8 games worth. This is all a fluke.

I saw too much bad last year to believe they turned it around this quickly.

The team was basically flipping off the coach in the last game of the season.

Dennis Allen is no management savant.

5-3 or better and I'll be impressed.

4-4 is about on pace for what was expected.

Personally, I thought they win 6 total.

And RB depth.

Also no shot in hell does this touch 09, 2011 or any prime Brees offense where we actually also ran the ball.

so fricked up we didn’t win the SB that year. Should’ve had a mini dynasty going.

I don’t think it will be the best but damn good. The defense being better is huge

It's obviously a small sample, and other years have had better team/individual stats, but efficiency-wise, I think you can make a case for the possibility.

On Carr-led drives, they have scored on 15 out of 15 drives. It's reminiscent of that 2017 bludgeoning in Buffalo where the Saints scored 6 rushing TDs. It didn't set yardage records, but gd, it was a dominating massacre. Now imagine that kind of scoring efficiency where anything & everything works for two straight games. The potential is there.

Lets see what they look like when we are behind and are forced to abandon the run. It'll happen eventually.

We started the season 15 for 15 but Carr was the QB when we went more conservative and didn't score a couple of times in the 2nd half of the Dallas game.
