I agree about the predictive formations and play calling but disagree with the playing and being loyal to upper class man. Sometimes it takes a little while for the underclassman to adjust to the college game. Maybe it took a few games for Caden. Now if he continues to do well and is not in there then I would agree with you. They have played tons of freshman this year.

LSU just put up 400 yards against what’s likely the second best front 7 they’ll face all season.

On the road. In an incredible hostile environment.

There are a handful of offenses capable of doing that.

Nuss has to get better against pressure. Lacy has to be more involved. The Oline has to play better.

But you saw Anderson step up, Durham come to the forefront.

The run game is predictable and slow developing. Really a poorly designed run package. Thank god Durham just out-athleted everyone.

Passing game seems ok, but we have to add screens or counters when the defense just pins their ears back every play to get to the QB. How that adjustment wasn't made IMMEDIATELY against USCe is baffling.

that is one way how saban outsmarted miles also. saban went to more single back shotgun before miles because saban wanted that extra playmaker and not just a FB blocker.

i will argue we should do more under center at least in ACE formation(single back) it really helps the play action. the 3rd and 1's from the gun are frustrating. but if we go under center you need PA passes from that also to make those runs work later. u cannot just get under center and only run in short yardage. any coach will pick up on it quickly.

yeah if you had a beast O line, beast Rb's that sucked everybody in the box, then you could do like miles did. ran I formation with 1 or 2 WR and killed teams with play action bombs away. again, we do not have those lineman or backs to pull that off. at least not by what we have seen thus far. our line is way overrated.

But you have to do that more than once to make the defense react to it. Same with the jets and screens, even if you’re just using the action to bait the D they’re not going to adjust to it unless you threaten them with it. Once a game isn’t enough.

We were 1 yard away from putting up 40+ on the road against a pretty good defense in an extremely hostile environment. Offense is fine. Just needs better execution in a couple spots.

Running the i-formation could make our offense extremely tough to scheme against. The i-formation is an incredibly powerful play action formation that, with the right personel, be extremely hard to stop. It's a very multiple formation with tons of play options that can be ran out of it.

Actually Sloan made adjustments to what was going on, The run play on 3rd and 9 that resulted in a 29 yd touchdown is a perfect example. Also running Williams near the goal line when they had passed a lot with him in the game. Fooled the defense. I get this is his first time calling plays and there will be a learning curve but to act like he isn't making adjustments is just wrong.
