USS New Jersey is a fast-attack Virginia-class submarine with crew of nearly 135 Navy personnel
I can't imagine this ending well for the women.

The U.S. Navy commissioned a new submarine on Saturday, the first vessel in its fleet designed to fully integrate male and female sailors.
The USS New Jersey, a fast-attack Virginia-class submarine, was commissioned during a ceremony at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Middletown, New Jersey.
"You operate the most complex platform on the planet and you continuously strive for excellence," New Jersey’s commanding officer Cmdr. Steve Halle addressed the submarine’s crew during the ceremony. "I’m amazed and humbled at what we have accomplished."
"Our superior professionalism is enhanced by our crew integration and our diversity," Halle continued. "We have exceeded expectations at every turn and overcome every obstacle set before us."
The USS New Jersey has a crew of nearly 135 Navy personnel. It’s the first in its class designed to be fully gender integrated.
When the Navy lifted its ban on women in submarines in 2010, concern about the living quarters being too tight and a lack of privacy prompted the Navy to retrofit subs and designate washrooms.
The USS New Jersey was designed from the outset with gender-neutral accommodations like increased privacy in washrooms and sleeping areas, Vice Admiral Robert Gaucher, commander of Submarine Forces Atlantic, told NorthJersey.com. Access to top bunks and overhead valves were also designed with the height, reach and strength of women in mind.
I can't imagine this ending well for the women.

It doesn't look like the sailors are being treated equally.

Why not? I've served alongside women on submarines and there hasn't been any major issues.

Oh yay. Once again, our military is concerned about bathrooms. And bunk height.
China & Russia are peeing their pants.
From laughter.

Yeah, I'm sure Russia is concerned about co-ed U.S. submarines while they remained bogged down in trench warfare in Ukraine.

Well, to be fair, bunk height for US women and Chinese men is prolly about the same.

So the Air Force had the tail hook scandal, what will the Navy call this in a few years? Equality? This can’t end well

Dude, face it: Women on naval vessels has been an unmitigated disaster on multiple levels. Our navy is an empty shell of what it was just a couple of decades ago. And you really think it is the Russians we need to worry about?
We are going to lose the next major war.
We are going to lose the next major war.

Or the country. We have reached peak clown world.
And if nothing else, the sexual experience at sea should be much better.

If you have never been on a six-month-long deployment with them then I can't take your opinion seriously. I have deployed on all-male submarines as well as integrated submarines. I have not discerned a notable drop in the quality of work being done.

Because there are now women typing commands from in front of a computer? You do understand that the next major war is going to be the most distant and impersonal one in history, do you not? Naval engagements will be fought from hundreds of miles away between cruisers and destroyers that are attempting to shoot long range missiles at themselves and the aircraft carriers.

how long before someone sues the Navy for a gajillion dollars because they didn't have racks for he/shes? 2Spirits? Bi Curious? regular trans?
what if a trans identifies as a male and a female?
what if someone that practices beastiality sues because there isn't a zebra or giraffe, sheep, aboard to screw?
what if the lucerferians sue because there isn't live animals onboard for sacrifice and black mass relics?

The Navy apparently disagrees with you, because they made specific changes to a 4 billion dollar platform so that women can perform better.

Women shooting missiles at themselves. No discernible/notable drop in quality of work being done.
These are YOUR words.
I know you didn't mean it that way, but it's what you typed. Maybe sit this one out.

There is no professionalism (much less superior professionalism) if you are simply shoehorning diversity into something for nothing more than the sake of wearing it as a badge of pseudo-honor.

No, they made those changes so that women could have their own berthing and bathrooms. The older Virginia and Los Angeles class submarines were not designed with females in mind, so up until this latest Block of SSN-774s females only had one bathroom they could use on the submarine.
