What ever happened to School House Rock?
Preamble?
Conjuction Junction?
Melting Pot?
Fireworks?
As a kid growing up in the early 70's, this was the favorite thing before Superfriends and Scooby Doo , eating Apple Jack's, or some Capn Crunch.
What has happened to this freaking country?

My kid watches Numberblocks on Netflix and has learned a ton on math from it.

So it's all still there.

First, cable tv stuck a dagger in Saturday Mornings back. The Internet finished the kill shot. When you no longer have a 3 channel monopoly… with limited viewing hours… you no longer have to make special programming blocks. Saturday Mornings obituary should note that it couldn’t defeat its nemesis, On Demand.

Second, when networks were freed from the requirements of education content, they abandoned them. They could make more money pushing straight up entertainment.

Our local stations still show educational shows for kids on Saturday morning including shows like Jack Hanna and other nature shows.

So they still exist, they even show a tag in the top right of the show with E/I to inform the parents
