What is the psychology behind the "white self hate" movement?

The video of the dad defending the Haitian who murdered his son is hard to watch. I don't get this mentality whatsoever, wherever that comes from, I don't recognize it whatsoever. Yet we see it all the time, self loathing white people who hate themselves and their ancestors.
Is there another example of this behavior, with any other group of people, in history? This is clearly a fairly recent phenomenon, that developed during the Civil Rights era.
The behavior is borderline masochism. Many of these white people really seem to be under some sort of hypnosis, but on a mass level.

These people are always liberal.
Not blaming a criminal for their own decisions is crazy.

In younger people, I'd assume it was a lack of attention from a father.
With this guy wishing his son had been murdered by an old white man, I have no fricking clue. It's got to be some sort of coping mechanism he's using to mask his pain because if my child died my political ideology is going out the window.

If you teach people that whites are born racist, then that means all the foundation of the country is racist, therefore will always be unjust. If it is unjust then you do not have to follow the rules and can just discard the system with one you feel to be more just.
Also, all the DEI people are making money spouting this non sense, that is the other motivation. They are snake oil salesmen. Invent a disease, claim to have a cure, and get people to pay you for sed cure.

White guilt beat into GenX and younger by boomers. Race baiting black supremacists have taken advantage of it. Why letting them control language in what you can and can't say is the ultimate cuckery. Speaking of cucks, lots of men who share their wives in secret with black guys are now in positions of power so that is rampant too. Seeing it a lot in the youth too, so it's just going to get worse. We are really seeing the culmination of lots of factors.
Cracks me up that many of us grew up saying things that now you can get in trouble for. That needs to stop. Just watch Pulp Fiction as a reminder of how cucked our society has gotten. So many people are just cowards, and afraid of words. Even when used in proper context.
