Canals have overflowed in Metairie and New Orleans per Jefferson City Council member

Jefferson Parish council member Scott Walker says that all Canals have overflowed in Metairie and New Orleans- just reported by WWL channel 4.
WWL is saying worse flooding in Jefferson Parish in years.
Lakeview homes flooded.
Meanwhile, New Orleans political leaders are refusing phone calls on the flooding. S&WB report 5 backup power generators EMDs down, high canal levels in Hollygrove, Lakeview Gentilly, maybe N.O. East. This city has disastrous leadership - the question is where did the money go to fix the drainage? They owe the public an explanation.
I-10 is closed now also.
Fox 8 News meteorologists Katz and Fradella were right about Hurricane Francine going through New Orleans with 80mph winds. NHC missed.
Families had to be evacuated because of high water

If those canals cannot handle this then they were completely designed to fail from the beginning.

Build a City on reclaimed swampland and have a Hurricane?
Gosh, never could see this coming.

Me? Nothing. I learned. Katrina happened and then I left.
Your question should be: "What's wrong with the people who stayed?"

Teedy is getting bullied by Francine.

Not a rain thing. Nola has certainly seen more rain since Katrina. Something is amiss

I have seen the Washington ave canal like that many times... And I have seen the West esplanade canal topped and over topped a few times... It happens.. But the water in the back neighborhood is a first for me... Sheng said they had some power outages and some pumps go down but they are working on it... The rain has stopped.. just hope they can pump with what they have and get it down over time...

How are the River Parish dumpsters holding up?

It’s rained incredibly hard for several hours in addition to the shitload rain we’ve gotten over the past two weeks.

Im a grown man.
Not once in my life have I ever experienced a hurricane where this phrase wasn't uttered. Its not a Hurricane, until we get some form of *SOME* pumps not operating. Power, someone fell asleep, someone maintenanced it too hard, blame Entergy, blame voters for not passing new mileages... Its a fact of life and proof we live in a simulation as far as im concerned.

The city can pump out an inch the first hour and half an inch an hour after that. It was just too much rain too quickly. Can't really shite on the nola boys. Now JP sounds like a cluster though
