I like the change of the grill but it’s so close in price to the new TX which is bigger. Seems like a better bang for your buck

Lexus rx350 is a good choice. Consider EVs also. You’ll be impressed

My wife has a 2018 with 90k miles
Thing has been great. Drives very smooth, has plenty of power and will move if you step on it. Comfortable and reliable.
Not a ton of cargo room.
Had both front wheel bearings go out around 50-60k miles, but they were changed under an extended warranty.

Can't go wrong if it is big enough, well unless you want a sporty CUV/SUV which it is decidedly not.
My travel car has the previous Lexus engine (3.3) and has over 440k miles with less than $2,500 in repairs over that time.

I have a ‘99 rx300 that both my kids (girls) have driven and somewhat abused. It’s got a ton of mileage. Those things are tanks. The only major problem I’ve had is knock sensors, but there are work arounds. If the new ones are anything like the old ones you can’t go wrong.

I hate getting stuck on the road behind these because it’s normally retirees going 20 under the speed limit. So get one if you want to be considered old and a bad driver at the same time.

Seem to be popular for 50+ year old divorced women who struggle to pay the bills on their own.

In my area it seems to be the car for 60+ year old widows. That is the reason I bought a used RX350 for my daughter’s first car. The service records on these cars are usually pretty thorough as they get talked into having all of the maintenance performed at the dealership on time. It was a great vehicle until some woman from Honduras hit it and totaled the car a couple of weeks ago.

Can’t speak for the 350, but saw a new GX yesterday and loved the new look. Reminds me of a Landcruiser.
Interior is very sharp too

Lexus recommends premium unleaded. That's about $1 more than regular. So 22/29mpg isn't that good.
Nice looking vehicles though.

I like the new look as well. I owned a GX470 in 2003. I believe this was the first year they introduced this vehicle.
What are these now going for today? I want to say I paid $52,000 in 2003. It had the Mark Levinson audio system, navigation, wood grain trim, etc. Can't recall if it had a backup camera --- or were those even a thing back then?

By all accounts, solid and reliable. My 80+ year old in-laws love theirs.

Rx 350 is a very good car. It’ll hold up for over 100k miles without any problem.
The Gx 550 lacks some of the comforts of the old GX and the ride is kinda “slushy” like it’s bigger than it actually is.

There going for 75-80k. I have an 07 GX much like the one you had. Mine has all kinds of options like backup camera, heated seats, auto wipers, sunroof….and all of it still works. When mine dies I’ll probably get a 460 that some old lady drove.

2.4L Turbo is the unknown. That old V6 was bulletproof.
Starts at $50K+.
You're easily $60K otd with TTL.
Not sure if you're going brand new.
