So far my wife has had only a few different symptoms.

1.) fatigue. This has been pretty consistent throughout the 9 months. Whenever she gets home from work she usually just lays on the couch and vegetates while watching TV and movies.

2.) heartburn. When she eats certain foods she gets bad heartburn. We’ve been buying a lot of Tums for her throughout the pregnancy.

3.) swollen ankles. Her ankles swell, and it hurts to walk. She complained this week that she has candles, and she can’t wait for the swelling to go down.

4.) Lots of gas. She could give a Clydesdale a run for its money for the last few months.

My wife is due in October. She is tired a lot, runs out of breath easy, swelling in her hands and feet. But most importantly she now snores like a fricking train.

Her cravings changed day by day and was impossible to keep up with. By the third trimester we just cooked separate meals when we ate.

Hair trigger temper and random crying followed by brief periods of extreme happiness. Sometimes she'd have cravings for food she doesn’t normally like.

Then blood pressure went up around the 7th month. Pre-eclampsia became obvious around that time.

Oh and my 4 year old kept asking why mom waddles like a penguin. That triggered all the emotions in rapid fire sequence.

She craved salt ..which interestingly now my son has to add salt to practically every food that he eats.

Nausea in the first trimester, wanting her drinks ice cold, and insatiable hunger. My wife was smart about it and ate healthy, high protein meals instead of junk though. She was also doing stadiums up until her due date. On days when the weather was bad, I'd come home to her on my treadmill with the incline set high.** She had a fantastic pregnancy and delivery, and got back to her pre-pregnancy weight very quickly

**If your wife is currently pregnant and not doing this on her own, do NOT tell her she needs to start exercising

With the first kid she had gestational diabetes. This caused her to gain a lot of weight, have horrible reflux, dizzy spells, etc.. Also, carpel tunnel. 16 hours of labor starting at about 5 p.m.

Second kid was an easy pregnancy. Slightly smaller kid, so even the birth was easier. A couple hours, late morning. Wife was ready to go home before the hospital wanted her to.

I don't know if it was a factor, but a big difference was health before the pregnancy. She wasn't fat, but she wasn't in shape for the first one. With the second one, we were both working out and doing a lot of hiking. She was slim and cut going into that one.

Ripped her open, but I paid the doc a little extra to sew it up a little looser for me.

First trimester and third were puking like clockwork when she first woke up then again about 4 hours later.

Fatigue and being insanely and insatiablely horny were the other symptoms. Which, I’m not at all complaining on the last one but I honestly think she set that as a trap to convince my dumb arse to have more kids.
