First NFL game is tonight. GMFB and Get Up are basically sponsored content for their gambling partners. “Draft Kings has a bet on who will score the first TD of the season…use this promo code…” “ESPN Bets has this parlay, let’s talk about that for 5 minutes between commercials for gambling.”

Get off my lawn gambling!!!

i agree with you. It was bad enough when fantasy started becoming half the coverage, then with gambling being accepted it feels like everything revolves around it. Part of the reason I stopped watching any pre or post game sports coverage.

There was entirely too much NFL content before these little advertisements, the in-game MLB bet promos are weak AF as well.

I think sports shows have become obsolete. The fan bases are way more in tuned with the day to day than the paid talking heads and much like main stream media there's just too many direct to consumer sources that make it silly to spend an hour or two listening to dated info

I can’t turn that shite off fast enough when they start talking about fantasy football and gambling.

True, though it does us Texans no good unless we go to LA or OK or a Reservation casino, because there is no legal betting from home here.

Probably for the best lol.

Will eventually destroy sports, as they are known.

I get it's a big market, but at the same time, I really think it's promoting some poor behavior and is going to have long-term consequences, especially on younger men (who are most prone to being influenced by this stuff).

I mean, it's ridiculous. I even turn on Tennis Channel and it's the Draft Kings desk with Fan Duel picks and this is sponsored by Bet MGM. Enough already.

Go to the Pelicans arena and it's Bet Rivers and Fan Duel everywhere. I'm sure the "Caesars Superdome" is the same. It's ridiculous.

I can agree. I miss hearing them talk about who is gonna win and why, not who is gonna beat the spread and why

I definitely prefer the low stakes gambling that is fantasy football.

The spread can be a good vehicle to talk about the actual game and games that aren't the biggest match ups of the week. It is basically the only way ESPN will ever talk about the Sun Belt

prop bets are very uninteresting

Thank God Big Cat and PFT don't drown out their show with "Barstool Sports Book" anymore. Sure Draftkings here and there but those 2 to 3 years with Barstool Sports Book shoved down our throats was annoying

marginal at best. Talking to sports bet guy isn't much better than trying to talk to someone who won't shut the frick up about their fantasy team.

Thought the title said Grambling. Was going to say that’s a wild take.
