Lost a ton of money in Vegas and come home to lose another 4% in the market the next day.
Gotta just laugh through the pain sometimes.

Regardless of who wins, when the election is decided do you think the markets will stabilize and move up just because of the stability of who is going to be in charge?

If it's Trump I'd think so because he will be business friendly. If it's Harris the Republicans will need to hold at least one house in Congress to prevet these just stupid ideas from seeing the light of day.

Some of the worst events in the market's history started or happened in Q3 of their respective years. The market can be superstitious at times and there's very likely a recession coming (regardless of who wins in November). I think a cut this month will give more of a boost to the market than whoever wins the presidency.

September of an election year of a close election with inflation above the norm and some signs that the economy could be slowing down…. I expect some choppy waters ahead.

I don’t know a whole lot about this stuff but I’m guessing people/funds are looking to lock in decent rates before the cuts. I ended up moving quite a decent chunk into a one year CD.

I'm already assuming Harris will win and the dems will own DC. I don't see how that isn't going to happen.

Looks to me like the odds of a trump presidency increasing are moving the energy market. Good sign for the country. Bad sign for the portfolio

I doubt it's that. Energy prices are moving lower because of weakening demand.

Glad I'm not the only one...

What makes anyone think this? I see the opposite.

Anyone who invests in energy knows that Trump’s first term was a disaster for US Energy Companies from day 1.
