Watching this game against the Aggies, their offense looks awful. It’s almost like the skill positions you are able to recruit at lsu are vastly superior to the skill players they recruit at Notre Dame. Going to enjoy watching this offense sputter all year. Notre dame fans yapped so much about getting Denbrock that this is satisfying to watch.

They have a young o line on the road. No one expected nd to score 35+ in this game.

That’s great but the point still stands. LSU made denbrock. There is a reason he never did anything like that any other time in his career.

Did you expect them to score an offensive touchdown?

Because they aren’t going to. Leonard is garbage.

Nah, just laughing at Notre Dame fans who yapped all offseason about this. I was fine with Denbrock leaving because I know he wasn’t who made this offense.

This is exactly how LSUs offense looked in week 1 each year under Denbrock. He likes the short flats and comeback routes. He didn't throw over the middle at all. It's not a bad plan for working a QB into a new offense slowly. It just doesn't go well when you're playing a top 10 team in week 1 as we saw at LSU

Do you remember what lsu had in year 1 roster wise? Wasn’t it like something around 35-40 scholarship players? I’d argue those are very different situations. Hell this is the first year that I’d even consider it Kelly’s roster.

He’s a bum. It’s easy to be a OC when you have a QB who can turn a shitty play call into a 40 yard gain anytime and two NFL WRs who can beat just about everyone one on one.

I don’t know how Sloan with do, but losing Denbrock wasn’t a big deal. There is a reason Brian Kelly fired him once before

Great QBs makes lots of money for bad coaches.

Mike Denbrock is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I think he is a good offensive coordinator. He is definitely not the coup that ND fans thought that were pulling off. Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas got him a nice retirement package.

Seems like a fair assessment.

On a different note (kinda). ND fans talk about how Brian Kelly can’t recruit, but this is the best Freeman can get at Qb? Yikes, that kid is awful.

Well he did just bait aNm right into a TD. He’s a good OC

Tbh, the quarterback for the Irish isn't that good. He plays hard but he's having trouble reading on passing downs and isn't accurate sometimes. He ain't gonna run and save the down like Daniels did over and over last year either.
