I got my 13 year old son a Catahoula puppy back in March. This has been the best dog we have ever had. He loves to be in the woods, baying anything he can.

Do any of the Tigerdroppings guys have a Catahoula? If so, how do you like yours.

We had one growing up. He was deaf as a door nail but he was a great dog.

My wife's dog is 50% catahoula. 99% of the time I want to shoot him. I guess whatever the other 50% is where he got his personality from. Can't use power tools, spray bottles, boat winches, ratchet straps, electric razors, pepper mills, brooms, meat thermometers, electric knives, and vibrators around him.

Eta: he will also attack push mowers, fourwheelers, the garden hose, sprinklers, and weedeaters. The roomba looks like it went through a war because of him. He doesn't like men so I know Jody can't visit while I'm hunting.

I have one that is 6. The best but most hard headed dog I’ve ever been around. I got her when my 6 year old was a baby. She is great with him and my 2 year. She is my dog though. I can’t get up to shite without her on my heels. She goes everywhere with me. She would kill you if you touch my truck. At least she acts that way. Great dog but damn stubborn.

I had one 10 years ago. Damn fine in the woods, and very protective. They require a strong owner though.

You nailed it. She is smart as hell and knows right from wrong. She still does what the hell she wants half the time. As I type this she is licking up my 2 year olds milk he just spilled on the rug. Great family dog and good in the woods.

Got one in March. I’m training him to track wounded deer. Hopefully I am doing it right.

Sounds like the wife won’t be staying home, though. Haha.

I had one. He was a big goofball. He was comic relief. Always into everything.i couldn’t lay anything down. He would take it and hide it from me. I have an American Bulldog and Jagd Terrier now. The Bulldog is a squirrel hunting fool. The Jagd is hell on anything.

Insane dogs. hopefully insane in a good way. I know of one that was the best dog I've ever known and one that is a royal pita and the world will be a better place when she's dead.

My wife's is the same way except he runs away until you get an appropriate food item to trade him. He tried to run off with a damn mower blade earlier today. I'm glad he sleeps about 23 hours a day.

I got my girl 2 years ago on Thanksgiving Day. She's sweet, smart, loves kid, and built like a brick house. She can be a hot mess at times.

Gotta Catahoula/black lab mix......wish I could clone her!

Best dog I have ever had! Mixed breed rescue, and it has been wonderful.

I bought it from a lady in Mississippi. She was close to Kokomo, Mississippi.
