Not horrible, but feels pretty phoned in for me. Par for the course for ESPN. If ESPN is bringing back old themes, this classic would have been way better:

So many on this board seemed to celebrate the ending of the SEC-CBS relationship but what you said is what I knew we’d all miss when the change was made.

ESPN’s productions are fine but very sterile and cookie cutter. CBS’ production was class. I loved all their crowd and stadium shots.

The only complaint about CBS that was legit were the amount of commercials but everyone has caught up to them in that regard.

Hope they bring back "you're looking live..." Brent was the best.

The undefeated Florida Gators take a trip to Rocky Top to take on the 5-1 Volunteers of Tennessee in this battle of the titans! Who will gain SEC east supremecy and make the March toward Atlanta one step closer.

Find out today onnnnn the SEC on CBSSS!

Sounds like an intro to a failed reboot of American Gladiators

Agree 100% and thought the same when the switch was announced. I think CBS also broadcasts in higher resolution than ESPN.

Sounds like a generic 80s crime-solving TV show with someone hanging from a helicopter dressed in disguise as a woman....and there's a dog waiting at home who doesn't like him with his alcoholic best friend who has a new scheme to get rich quick.

I don't mind the throwback. Makes me think of some great Saturday night broadcasts with Ron Franklin, Mark Gottfried, and Adrian Karsten.

The new version is missing a little something from the real original though (not the one from the early 2000s in the OP).

I was waiting for Lou Holtz and Mark May to pop up on my screen and start arguing.

That theme sucks, honestly.

Feels like I'm tuning into the news, not a football game from the most dominant conference in the last 2 decades.

The theme in the second video, though...just give it to me straight in a vein. Always was and is one of my favorite college football themes.

This is a remake of the old ABC theme they had during BCS era.

Not bad
