Most donuts eaten in one sitting

We had this conversation the other day at work and I was shocked at how low some people’s numbers were. I’m talking Krispy Kreme style donuts. My personal best was in high school and a buddy of mine we ate 18 a piece. I don’t think I could do it now but calories didn’t matter back then with sports. Some people said the most was 3-4. Anybody else have a record that they are proud of?

Friend,
During my last year in Youth Group, we spent an afternoon volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank in Harahan. Because we were out there, we then went to a film at The Palace Theater. If memory serves me correctly, we saw The Rookie. Afterward, I petitioned the leader to take us to Krispy Kreme which was not terribly far from the theater.
After we took our seats, having watched the conveyor spit out the donuts, I began eating my dozen of hot glazed. I finished and a younger member of our group seemed impressed and said, “TulaneLSU, you couldn’t possibly eat a second dozen.”
It was in the foolishness of my youth that I accepted the challenge. And after two dozen the donuts had not yet reached the fundus of my stomach. I kept at it.
At three dozen, I began to feel it, but inwardly I had a goal to hit 40. Sweat poured down my brow as I finished the 40th, but I did it.
And I haven’t eaten a dozen at a single seating since.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Probably 6.
It's not the amount of food that was the problem (I've routinely put down "heavier" meals with more calories). It was the amount of sugar. I can only eat sweets in relative moderation. Otherwise, it makes me nauseated

Maybe 8 Krispy Kremes.
I LOVE them, but all that sugar starts making my stomach queezy. Plain Krispy Kremes are my favorite donut. Right off the belt in the store.. Amazing.

I'm more of a cake style donut eater. Krispy Kreme feels like puffed air drowning it flaky sugar. Yeah I could probably eat a dozen easy, but I'd rather eat 2-3 good donuts instead.

I ate seven hotdogs during the 2017 Florida-LSU game. Also had jambalaya, boudin balls, etc. I didn't feel great after the game.

Wish I could pound more of them but I'm usually tapped out after 3 or so. All the sugar makes me queasy for some reason.

I stopped at a donut place at 10:00 pm one night leaving Lexington, KY for Corbin, KY and while driving 1 1/2 hours down I-75, I ate three of them, along with a $0.75 bag of potato chips and a snickers candy bar, washed down with a 20 ounce Diet Dr. Pepper.
And I'm not ashamed of it.
In 1979 I was the Asst QC/QA Manager at Hyland Blood Diagnostics in Round Lake IL. I nearly became addicted to Duncan Blueberry cake donuts, after having one with my start of the day cup of coffee in the company cafeteria every day for almost a year. Getting that monkey off my back was scary, but I did it.

Stayed up all night partying for the last day of senior year, showed up to school that morning drunk and stoned with a dozen donuts. Finished all 12 before first period started. I don't think I can even eat 4 at one time now.

It's actually surprising how low the sugar content in donuts is.
For example...this doesn't even seem believable but if you get a large of the drink with the most sugar content at Dunkin Donuts, the sugar is equal to about 10 of their regular glazed donuts.

I could probably eat 100 Krispy Kreme’s cause they’re so light and go down easy. I could probably do 20 with a donut like Mary Lee. I ate a dozen Mary Lee in 2 minutes for a food competition years ago

As a teen in Lafayette in the early '80s, I remember eating a dozen glazed from Tastee Donuts on Johnston St. (I may or may not have been high)

We had a KK in town where I grew up. We used to get high AF (I was the DD, so others drank, I just got high
) and go to the KK when it had the Hot Doughnuts sign lit up.
We'd order a dozen for each of us... I'd drink a large Cheerwine and eat 12 hot KK donuts... Cops would be there just staring at us.

A dozen Mary Lee's, no problem, 2 dozen, probably as well. Donuts just simply don't fill me up.

KK a dozen is easy. About 4-5 to feel completely satisfied.
Mary Lee's 3 with some white milk and a happy camper.

maybe it's the gluten in the doughnut and not the sugar? that's making you all queasy

I don't have an exact number, but I know I could put away quite a few hot KK straight off the conveyor belt. I've easily scarfed down a dozen before. I don't know if I could do 40 like TulaneLSU, but I definitely could do 2 dozen, maybe more.
