Ok, he captured 3 minutes of a pleasant block or two of the city. Doesn’t mean it’s not a hectic shite hole overall.

ETA I like visiting NYC, but would never live there for what it costs / what you get in return in 2024.

They can have it, all those buildings, no yards or grass, all those people. Give me the country any day,

You see that "City" part? Reason enough for me to never see it.

To be fair this dude is highlighting the most affluent parts of NYC and using it as a sample size of the “health” of the city. Dude seems like a fricking tool.

My family visits NYC often. People, who have mostly never been there, often comment how awful it is there. It’s still my favorite city in the world. The East and West Village are great when the weather is nice.

I look forward to his next video where he takes a lovely stroll through the Bronx.

Where are the old(er) people? I saw few that could have been over 50.

I actually preferred the NYC where people weren't eating on tables in the middle of the street.

I've been there a few times on business. I don't hate it but it isn't a place I would deliberately choose to go for the fun of it.

While working up in the small town of Elmira northwest of there, most were in agreement.

We will be in NYC on Friday for some lunch and shopping. New Jersey Transit is free this week so free train ride in.

The East Village and Lower East Side is nowhere near the "the most affluent part of NYC". Did you happen to notice the graffiti on the buildings? I love all the NYC experts on this site who went there for a weekend or saw the Statue of Liberty with their kids.
