For me, it was the As the Plains Burn thread, it was mentioned on another message board I frequented at the time. I lurked for years before signing up.

November 2003 I was on the USC board arguing about LSU v USC and who would get a spot in the championship game and a guy named Trojan Warrior said “ hey moron why don’t you go PIMP LSU on Tigerdroppings?” . I thought to myself, I wonder what that is? Two decades later with thousands of increasingly annoying posts to my credit, with a record of almost uninterrupted assholery, here we are.

Looking for LSU tickets and I found the ticket exchange board. Lurked for a bit but really only on that board. Found a set of tickets on sale I was interested in and figured they would surely have some sort of private message utility if I signed up hence the ridiculously bad choice of a screen name. Then I started looking at other boards and have been making a fool of myself ever since
